Hello there to all. I'm new here. I've been plonking for around 45 years and currently have an old Fender strat and a limited anniversary Marvin Burns. I'm a Shads man and record stuff for fun at home. I've heard about the Zoom G2 and Charlies 'patch' but can you advise? If I get the Zoom, what do I do etc?

Hi Roymattblack,
I have the Zoom G2.1u got it off the well known auction site for a good price I find it very good although some of the other units such as the Alasis Q20 are supposed to be better but more expensive.
If you go on to one of the other threads that Charlie Hall is on and double click on his name you will be able to send him a personal message. He's usually on the ball and gets back to you quickly with all the details you require.
Regards
Les

Hi roymattblack, Welcome to the site. I have files for programming all of the G2 versions. The newer G2Nu and G2.1Nu are better than the older G2 and G2.1u in my opinion. In each pair, the .1 part of the name means there is an added expression pedal that can be assigned as a volume pedal to give the violin swell effects as used on Cavatina etc. If you don't require the volume pedal function, the G2Nu is probably the one to go for out of these. I charge £25 for the files for it, which are sent by email after the required details and payment are received. You can email me charliehallATntlworld.com (replacing AT with @) for more specific information relating to a certain model. Regards, Charlie
