Well it's finally arrived, and it's beautiful, honestly having owned both a 56 custom shop fender and a custom shop deluxe fender this knocks spots off both incredible guitar and less than half the cost. The colour Finished

Evening Peter thanks for the nice comments, I can't stop staring at it, it's just beautiful I'm scared to touch it.
The pickups are the same as the hanks signature models so Seymour Duncan ssl1 neck and mid and dimarzio fs1 at neck with push pull pot for neck and bridge combined

Stunning guitar,and a lot less than a Masterbuilt,but no less a guitar.
Alan has done a bit of work for me and I have no hesitation in recommending his work.

Hiya. That is stunning. Daft question time - my eyesight is... well, officially, I'm sight impaired, so some colours are a bit difficult for me... is that a blue sunburst??? I remember the Bonnie Raitt sig model having a black to blue 'burst which I thought was amazing, but that is even better. I'm guessing, if that was 'half the price of a 56 NOS' that it was somewhere between £1-1.5k? Great value, almost certainly better quality wood than FCS use and hand built. Don't know why everyone isn't doing it? He should be snowed under with orders. Cheers, Julian
PS. Does he have a website?

Hi All
Thanks for the nice comments, the guitar cost me £1100 but that was extra for the swamp ash body etc etc less than half what i paid for a Custom Shop 56 strat that i just didnt like, this is everything i wanted in every way and the colour is to die for, its a close resemblance to the French guitarist Matildas strat but Alan suggested the woodgrain through the white which i think works really well, i cannot fault Alans work at all.
If anyone is interested its built to some specs of the Hank Marvin autograph strat pickups, push pull pot etc the neck profile is same as my american standard

Hi Steve,
Thanks for showing the progress pictures, really interesting.
What a beautiful instrument! Just love the unusual colour you've chosen, and being able to see the lovely interesting woodgrain through the lighter colour on the body is just fantastic.
Your man has done an excellent job, but now is it just too good to play?
Happy Early Christmas!
Regards,
Rod
