This site is a mine of information and I'm so pleased I found it.
I've been playing on and off since 1960, starting off as a bass player in a rock band. In between I've done a bit of country and western but now in the last year or so have focused on The Shadows.
My current kit is Vox AC30 C2 and Fender Stratocaster Custom. (My own customization) This started life as a Highway One but has since been re fretted with .050 vintage frets and Kinman Impersonator pickups installed. Wiring harness converted back to standard Strat except that the bridge pickup is wired to the bottom tone control. Also just managed to acquire a Quadroverb Plus for which I'll now purchase the EFTP patches.
Presently I only have 14 Shadows tunes under my belt but I also play a lot of other stuff in the Shadows style.

Hi Viv, Welcome to the site. Having a tone control on the bridge pickup on a Strat is a very good idea. I have done it for many years on all of mine. Regards, Charlie

Hi Viv Welcome. Now you have Bridge tone a further great mod is to make that pot a push/pull so that the "pull" gives you neck+bridge pickup selection, the turn of the pot bleeding in more/less neck. Cheers Ian

Thanks Phil, The music files will come eventually.
I've only been playing electric for about a year now; formally played a bit of classical and lots of acoustic. Also did quite a bit of singing country and western but that's history.
I should get my interface cable today so I can then load the EFTP into the Quad and get going with some good sound.
Cheers
Viv
