Hi everyone trust your all doing great x
I'm thinking of buying a ipad to help my playing, i was looking at Rock Prodigy for the guitar hero style of learning lol, I just wondered if there was anything like this for Learning to play The shadows? The main problem for me is finding time away from the kids to setup and play and was thinking the simple solution of the ipad and interface would be a good option?
Kind regards
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Excellent idea. I and many others have been using an iPad for a while now. All you need for a basic set up is and iPad (or iPad Mini), a guitar to iPad interface, and headphones or a powered speaker if preferred. There are plenty of iPad APP's out there that will give you what you want. You can even record your guitar work if you wish.
Good luck.
Kind regards Roger

I thought that cover was a spoof but there really is an 'iPad for Seniors'. How patronizing is that?! The attitude is nothing new, of course - twenty or more years ago, a client a third of my age was giving me a brief for a job. When it came to one particular aspect of the brief she said, "You'll have to ask your children to explain that to you." Needless today I declined to take the job.

Hi Paul,
I also use an I-Pad but only to carry my UBH backing tracks when I perform, and it's ideal for this purpose. Learning to play using the 'Pad, I don't know much about, to old to care about all of these complicated things! Hehe.

Hi Paul. If you want to play using BT's have a look at "One Track" it a really brilliant App for this purpose. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. I use this on both iPhone and iPad Mini. Good luck. Gruntfuttock.

The JamUp app will not only provide professional standard guitar and effects modelling, but will play your BTs (with the option to slow down or speed up without altering pitch or changing pitch without altering speed). You can download a very decent free version, too, to try it. It is the best app of it's kind, that I have used, both for live gigs and home use. I use the iRig Stomp interface which is excellent and inexpensive, with none of the feedback problems some other interfaces have.
