I can't be 100% certain but I think tonight maybe the debut for the Hall & Collins on a theatre , in a show that we are doing in Retford Notts at the Majestic. We have included a Cliff & The Shadows section of half a dozen numbers where the echo was very prominent, Wonderful Land, The Young Ones, Please Don't Tease, Do You Wanna Dance, Apache and FBI. I'm looking forward to using the new machine in front of a paying audience and anticipating they will hear the difference, but I won't hold my breath LOL. Unless there are die hard fanatical Shads fans present I maybe will discover I bought it for myself. one thing is certain though with this machine , you know it's right (providing you set up the amp correctly) but that's another story.

Hi Dave, Hope the performance goes well! I've heard that the HCSE may be making it's first public appearance in Australia this Sunday at the Brisbane Shadows get together. Rosemary might have more info on that. Regards, John

It went great John and one guy approached me at the end asking about the fabulous Shadows tone I had and how could he get it. Naturally I explained and told him where he could purchase one.

Hi Rosemary, Thank you very much for taking the time to sort these links out. While I was pleased with the live sound as far as the echo is concerned (room acoustics always being a limitation to some degree with these kind of live recordings), the one that really grabbed me was Bombora, as I've never heard anyone play that live before with the correct Klemt echo sound, and the energy of this performance is totally self evident as is the audience reaction to it. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie and Matthew Thanks very much and glad you liked the sounds and were able to hear the Bombora echo - and with such a super performance by our boys. We'll have some more videos with the Hall & Collins unit next month and some different songs so we'll look forward to hearing those very much too. Best wishes Rosemary

I enjoyed all of the links and the thing that stood out for me was the terrific rhythm playing in Bombora !!
Great technique reminiscent of Bruce.

Thanks to the members here for their support and acalades about Bombora. It was a pleasure to play it with the H&C pedal as the sound on stage was the best I have heard while playing it. Tonight I will be a Guest of the great Greg Doolan on stage with an audience of about 200 and he has asked me to do a couple of Shads numbers and I will be doing Wonderful Land & Theme 4 YL using the H&C pedal straight into his mixer and coming out front of house. Should be interesting and I will give some feedback here if I get any after the show. Cheers & thanks again for the positive feedback Cheers Tom

Thanks Rosemary for posting the link to the videos of the recent meeting. Looks like the Brisbane Shadows Players are going well - some great performances, and as someone else mentioned, it's good to see a whole band playing the songs like this. I also thought the performance of Bombora was excellent - such a great composition, and a personal favourite of mine. The drama and intensity of the original came through in this performance, well done to all the players. Tom's guitar sound was very authentic, and I think the Klempt patch on the HCSE has helped get that original sound. I'm starting to think that all the late nights spent on the design of this thing might just have been worth it! John

G'day Charlie After a little stumble on the start of Wonderful Land over all it sounded great. The actual muted section on the neck pickup was superb, Very "Hankish". The delay notes were perfect. Theme 4 YL's sounded smack on as well. Great pedal Charlie. It is a credit to you and Johnny. As stated, I went straight into the mixer and just with that, the effects were great. Can't wait to save up now and get my own> ( b*gg*r, I have to give this one back now to my mate who bought it).Got some really good feedback from people who liked the songs and the sound( not musos!) Cheers Tom

I used the H&C at our gig tonight and one of the audience commented to me after the first half that the echo tails on the end of The Savage sounded 'awesome'. I've every reason to believe him, it was Daniel Martin, back home for a few days from Ireland.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the report. I guess Daniel should know! Jono's latest sound file of The Savage illustrates the effect very well too. Regards, Charlie
