The latest version 3 of the Hall & Collins tune/patch list has many more titles added and can be downloaded from the downloads page of the Hall & Collins site hallandcollins.com/index.php/downloads. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Hall and Collins Signature Echo Tune Patch List. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, Very helpful and much appreciated additions. Do you think it would make sense to add pick-up settings? Regards, Bernie

Hi Bernie, You are not the first to ask! I used to include pickup settings until I realised that many people disagree over what settings to use. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, Thank you for the clarification - I thought as much. What I meant to say is that I didn't catch that it was already asked. Sorry! Best regards, Bernie

Hi Charlie.
Re the latest (Version 3) tune / patch list.
Would it be possible to add the following numbers - or could you suggest patches for me please? I don't have my Hall & Collins unit yet - it will be shipped later today (Tuesday)
Bossa Roo Dance With the guitar Man. ( I know this isn't a Shads number, but there was a patch on my Magicstomp Fender Bender Theme From Shane (There was also a patch recommended for this number on my MS)
Many thanks Charlie, and once again a very big THANK YOU to both you John. Derek has also been very helpful and efficient re answering various queries.
Regards Dave

Hi Dave, Here are some suggested settings. Bossa Roo P44 with Echo Level setting reduced. Dance With The Guitar Man (the Hall & Collins unit doesn't do tremolo but try U09 or U11 for a kind of reverb effect. Fender Bender P45 with Feedback reduced to around 12 o' clock. Theme From Shane U09 or U11 for a kind of reverb effect. Regards, Charlie

Hi Adrian, Considering the original was played on an acoustic guitar with no echo, it didn't seem appropriate to include it. P09 or P11 would probably work. Regards, Charlie

Regards, Charlie Thanks for the reply Charlie. I havent got the pedal yet, it`s coming from the current batch which should be shipped today. Guitar Tango is one of my favoutites and yes, it was played on an acoustic but with the right settings, it sounds great on an electric as well. Regards Adrian

Hi Viv, Thank you for your kind reply. I am looking for the best setting on the HCSE - the program number for Bilitis. But the link with the backing track is very useful as well. Cheers, Bernie

Hi Charlie
Thanks for the new patch list, can you tell me if Jet Harris's 'Diamonds' should have an echo as its not mentioned on the list.

Charlie, just got my unit and am already enjoying all the patches. Quick question, recommended patch for “ The Wild Roses”

Hi gr, Glad you are enjoying your unit. I just listened to The Wild Roses and I think patch P44 will be the echo sound Hank used on it, similar to a double track effect that Hank used on a number of tunes of the period. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube lately especially the The Ryders and Kurt Froberg. He’s using an H C echo that he modified Some of the Echomatic 2 echoes by (delaying ) a particilar patch? Just wondering how he did it? Can you give a clue. Cheers Pete.

Hi Pete, I knew that Kurt had modified at least one Echomatic 2 patch but I don't have any details and of course I respect his right to keep it to himself. I think what he was going for was something like the Long Tom delays but with a warmer sound. You could look at patch P31 and take the delay times for heads 2 3 4 and 5 and try those in patch P15 heads 1 2 3 and 4, then save it to a suitable location in the User bank. That might get you close enough to that kind of sound. Regards, Charlie
