A bit of demo of my Eleven rack here, the audio doesn't do it complete justice, it sounds fantastic, this is all modeling going on here. Everyone reckons Fractal Ax fx is the bees knees when it comes to digital modeling, but I couldn't be more impressed with this. As for working with Avids other product pro tools that's another story, not happy!! Just a bit of EVH here on the Marshall 1959 SLP model www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCBJxTmk3VM I did Apache with it and the Hall & Collins in the Audio files threads which also sounds great I origionally wanted to get only pro tools, but got talked into getting the Eleven rack, I'm glad I got the Eleven rack now but not pro tools (which comes with it) Matthew

Hi scanners, i recently acquired a second hand Axe FX II unit. Curious to see whether or not there are any Shadows fans using one over on the Fractal Audio forum, I came across this thread: *** Looks like there has been trouble in the past.

Barry, I am not impressed by your decision to post the link in your message above so I deleted it. The link was to a thread containing derogatory comments about the H & C unit as well as other things so I have to wonder if you are trying to stir up trouble here. No need to reply to this, just please keep it in mind when you are thinking of posting anything else. Regards, Charlie

Hi Matthew
Sounds good. I've been eyeing up an axe fx or helix or kemper recently problem I have is the price primarily but the technology updates all the time and so some of this stuff gets out of date quite quickly. The convenience of different sounds etc is great though

Hi sold my Eleven rack, they make the Headrush floor unit now, I played an AX FX sounds pretty good but it might be overkill it has hundreds of things I’d never use and it’s expensive thought about a Heilix but they are pricey too I wouldn’t mi d trying the Boss GT 1000 . I have a H&C no complaints here only thing I had to replace the power supply as the end broke but the echo simulations are top notch, just as good as the Australian rack units three times the price Matthew

Whoops, looking back I can see that there was probably no need to add the link to my post, please accept my apologies.
Yes the Axe FX II's are coming up second hand now as people are looking to get rid and buy the new III, which is even more expensive!
Barry.

As for working with Avids other product pro tools that's another story, not happy!! Hey Matthew - I get that it’s different strokes for different folks and that some prefer different platforms than others - but ProTools is THE standard platform used for music production across the planet - the default DAW for most major recording studios. I believe that Hank uses it as his default recording medium. I have used it for nearly 20 years and if you keep your system updated and running well - it is an incredible tool for making music. If you are having issues there - I am happy to assist - but look at your system’s capability first. This is a serious price of software and has high demands - but once you embrace it and learn how to use it properly - it is the best DAW in the world. There is nothing you cannot do. Take a look at what it is you are struggling with - and let me know. Or even better - there are a wealth of resources available at Avid to help you. Don’t give up on it - there is probably something very simple from preventing you from getting the most from it.

I use pre sonus I used to have Pro tools be found it too complicated Pre Sonus a lot easier to set up and use I believe Avid who own pro tools bought Eleven Rack hence why it’s included when you buy it , another reason I went to Pre Sonus if you ring Avid they charge you for help, you have to buy tickets I got sick of doing that Matthew
