Hi Guys Just to let you know that if you plan to secure a guitar with the employer..here are some details you have to consider:
My neck had a little slant to the left when one is looking downwards. Fiesta Red colour needs a 'smidge' of fiesta colour, nearly there it does not show when a photo is a taken under artificial light..I will try to do one outside. (A pity they did not have a Squier made in china, built by Fender standards, it is spot on! They could have judged the little 'nuance') The screws at the back for the springs are slanted and not straight as on other guitars - because if you loosen them, they could touch the plastic plate). The strings heights at the neck, are a little bit slanted for my taste.
I did not order any pickups as I installed Kinman Impersonator, lowering the price a little bit. So, if you have Kinman - the sound would be a killer.
Anyway, perhaps I am too picky.
At the worst, I could put a warmoth neck...but that would defeat the purpose of the quality and price of the guitar.
My opinion ?? Go for it, and please make them check those details above. (I hope not to have confused your ideas too much!)

Hello Sheendigs,
I've looked over the site and it is very interesting. They seem to be able to make a copy of any make or type of guitar to any specification that your heart desires. They even had on show a Yamaha SG2000. I don't think theirs would be patch on my SG2000S though, which is a serious quality instrument.
It is your comments on the need to put details right that would hold me back. That said though, there is satisfaction to be had in finally altering a guitar to exactly suite your requirements. And for me this is ok to do on a cheaper guitar rather than say a custom shop model that still needs to have things done.
I wonder how their quality and total cost, including import taxes, compares to a Squire or even a Yamaha Pacifica as both of these people make great instruments.
Food for thought.......
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick As I said price wise, it was interesting for Canadians - for Europe it would be different with all the custom taxes, if levied. Custom shop prices would be way out of range for comparison. Now, I know that I can trust Squier product - as I could see before my eyes some details. When dealing with Chinese suppliers, one has to be very watchful. It is good also to work with escrow with that country - money, is not released unless satisfied. My other Trini Lopez wanna-be, had about one little difference with the pickguard and an adjustment. I have had it for three years now and it is a marvelous instrument. You see how that can differ from company to company Have a look here...one I made here..and the other Marvin 'Chinese' having a 2.5 inches width body! Sheendigs

It depends on your budget and what you want but for the money these seem really good, i have ordered one and intend to do a full review of it when received.

Steve, I'm not being picky, I'm just commenting on the differences, the guitar to me looks like a good buy. I'll post some pics of my Chinese Squier 70's style guitar later cost around £350-ish a few years ago Phil

I think Phil's opinion was not being picky but based on the photos and looking at it I noticed the same things all in all to those who are thinking about buying one good luck to them and if it's what you are prepared to pay and it's what you want go for it in its own right as a new guitar comparing it on price only to other makes and not on quality is only one way of looking at it.

I still have my first guitar which was a Squier from the late 90s. It was i think £129 brand new and my god it is awful, the neck is made of MDF and the body is probably cardboard. Cant believe the price of guitars now seem to be going up all the time. I paid £329 for my mex classic 50s about 6 years ago and now they are £600. I also paid £549 brand new for an American Standard Fender in 2002 and now they are over £1150.
