Hello all,
When the stock power adapter is plugged into my H&CSE it protrudes straight out at the back and gets in the way of another item on my board.
To make a bit of space, what I would like is a short "extension" lead with a socket one end that the power adaptor plugs into that has a Right Angled Plug at the other end that will fit the H&CSE.
Could some one help by letting me know the correct name/ specification of the adapter plug so I can search for a suitable lead.
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick,
That's a great idea. Please let us know where find a suitable lead if you have success before I do.

Hello Geoff and Roger
Well,I managed to buy 1 metre extension lead with the right angle plug for £1.65 post free from Kenable Ltd (email sales@kenable.co.uk)
Not only does the right angle plug keep things out of the way on my board so as to avoid damage, it is connected just once and left in place so saving the wear of constantly plugging in and out of the H&CSE. I wrapped the excess extension lead out of the way and fixed it in place and now just plug the adapter into its socket. If someone trips over the adaptor lead, (you know what its like on a stage) well at least it wont damage the H&CSE and is likely to just come unplugged.
NB if I could be trusted with a soldering iron I think I would shorten the extension lead a tad but as I can't I won't!!!
Hope others find the above helpful.
Cheers
Mick

Great right-angle plug supplied by www.acadaptorsrus.co.uk/ . Delivered following day. Brilliant service from Derek at H&C support confirming the adaptor was suitable. Like the others, much more practical on my pedalboard. Good job all round. And thanks to Mick for the idea in the first place. Cheers, Geoff

Hello Geoff, glad you liked the idea. I hope others find this idea helpful too. What with the H&CSE likely to be last pedal on most people boards this saves the constant plugging in and out.
You've probably guessed what I've done regarding the effect out socket, yes.......I've got a short effects lead with a right angled jack in to the H&CSE so it is left in placed is fixed down and saves space. The lead to the amp is connected to that with a male to male joiner (whatever they are called) so again this saves wear on the unit and if someone trips over the lead....well the amp lead will just part at the joiner rather than causing a repair job.
Cheers

Hi Mick...Great minds think alike. I bought a right angled jack plug (male to female). www.amazon.co.uk/s?me=A3BS5SYE6VN13M. Works great and leaves the right angled jack on the guitar lead to plug into top of amp with much less stress. I wondered about a male-female guitar, but the wife said no! Cheers, Geoff
