A Petersen StroboPlus Tuner. Been mulling over getting one of these for a long time and finally did it. Great piece of kit for not only very accurate tuning but for setting up. Was able to get intonation right on all guitars (except acoustics). Not a bad price from Andertons Guildford who sent it next day and £30 cheaper than Amazon with no delivery charge. mike.

I use a Peterson Stroboclip HD and find it to be a fantastic tuner.

Hello Mike,
I have heard of, but haven’t looked into strob tuners. I have always been quite happy with my Boss TU12 that I Purchased in 1985 and I see from your photo that you also have a later version.
With the Boss tuner two lights on equals in tune, but can be “sweetened” slightly to taste by ear......each guitar is different in this respect. Does a Peterson tuner make the job of tuning easier somehow? If so, could you explain how.
Cheers
Mick

Hello Mick, Yes my Boss TU-15 has been, and is still a good tuner. But having had some really bad Gibsons for intonation and other problems I was never a 100% sure about how accurate my set ups were, so without spending literally thousands on the top range tuners this is more than good enough for me, with tuning accuracy to 1/1000 of a semi-tone that's good enough for me. As for "sweetened tuning's" yep this badboy does them, there are 92 built in and you can create user settings if needed.
Mike.
PS tried to link the manual here but cant get link to work, go to Petersons web site it will give a lot more info.

I tried the clip version myself, but just Couldn't get it to stay put on my PRS headstock very well. So a Quick exchange for the StroboPlus Tuner was the right choice.

I had never heard of Peterson Strobe Tuners until you started this thread Mike, so imagine my surprise when I saw a Peterson Strobostomp 2 for sale on Gumtree this evening. It says that it does 12 strings too but I will stick to the ones I already have and leave it for someone else to buy

I've two 19 inch rack tuners, 1 Boss tuner, 2 Korg tuners, 1 TC electronics poly tune 2, and 5 Thomann clip-on tuners... but the best is my Peterson StroboPlus HD Tuner. This device is the purest and with the most accurateness tuner I've ever used.
Cheers Rob
