It didnt. Without even looking, it was easy to tell them apart. And why does it matter a jot anyway if you then run EITHER through OD?

True—if you run thro’ OD it matters not a jot (as Billy Connolly would say) but in the video he demos clean sounds as well. I was pretty surprised at how well the ceramic magnets sounded in comparison to the Alnicos—certainly persuaded me not to discount them out of hand if I was contemplating a change! D

Absolutely so. The Ceramics did scrub up well against the Alnicos. FWIW, up to buying some Kinnan FV-HMS's for my Strat , ALL my guitars had been Ceramic pupped - and nobody died. But for the OD I came to the conclusion that it "mattered not a jot" as the sound was spoiled for an 'ear test' anyway. But 'Clean' the Alnicos WERE smoother, the Ceramics just having that bit of an 'edge', so maybe 'cleaner' sounding.
