Sorry Oswald, it has a familiar ring to me but I can't identify it.
I agree with Maurice, it's a lovely tune.

Hello Oswald
Sorry, I don’t know the name of this tune either; but, I have the feeling it was the theme music to a film or mystery series.
I’d be interested to know too.
Cheers
Mick

Yep the mustangs play that song, but here goes the data on that tune: Although known as a Russian Gypsy folk-song , Two Guitars actually had a composer -Ivan Vasiliev 1810 - 1870 with lyrics by Apollon Grigoriev. It seems to have been written for a Gypsy folk choir that Vasiliev ran with Grigoriev. Sheendigs

hi sheendigs, well, at least i got the title right !you must be into this stuff in a big way to know all that info !theres lots of melodies of this type played by the finnish groups and they sound great with a shadowy lineup. also a lot seem to use the a minor ,d minor , and e basic structure so quite simple.

In Finland guitar bands recorded old well known songs in the beginning of 1960's. The tune Two Guitars was first recorded by the Finnish guitar band The Strangers and released in April 1963 with the tune name changed to Three Guitars.
Kind regards Rolf

A very good tune and sound.
Straying slightly off topic, I really like the track that follows it on Oswald's SoundCloud (Beautiful Heart). It's very 'Shadowy' in arrangement and structure. I don't recall having heard it before but there is an echo patch on the TVS called 'Beautiful Heart' which I assume is the same tune.
Can anyone provide any info' (Google isn't any help)?
Cheers.

Beautiful Heart is a composition by Lenny Clerwall. Plenty of covers on YT. BTs are available for it. HTH Ian

Thanks, Ian. Now that I know, it does sound like a Lenny Clerwall tune. He's very good at writing them.
Cheers.
