Now, the schedule will be: guitar, guitar, guitar, voyages... May God grant all of us good health and peace.
I am glad I can carry my Mustang amp and I' m ready to travel the word for a ... gig ... ha ha!.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a sane and serene new year.
Blessings, Abel

Abel,
They say life begins at 40 but it doesn't.................it begins the day you retire.
I have been retired for 8 years now and believe me it has been the quickest 8 years of my life.
ENJOY !!!!!!
Jim

Good wishes and of course, good health to you Abel, your probably going to need it.
So, you think it’s time to have a rest? So you think you can do just what you like when you like how you like? Yes?
I’m sure some of us thought that too!!!
What with the grandchildren, school runs, odd jobs here and odd jobs there - all free of course - time gets a bit thin on the ground so to speak.
Grab what you can for yourself and have fun.
Cheers
Mick

Hi all,
The thing is that I have been working non-stop since ... 1964. It was about time for me.
I worked all the way till I got my doctor's degree in 1983 and then beyond till ...Yesterday.
I am mostly happy to be able to practice and play guitar like I should have done long time ago. Anyone up to form a band? ha ha! Eric (Ecca)? ... online?
Merry Christmas and blessings to all, Abel

Hi all,
I know I will have to compromise, but guitar is top on the agenda too.
My boss gave me a $100 gift certificate for McCabe's guitars. They specialize in acoustic and stringed instruments. If you come to LA, you have to go there and visit, it's a must. I saw Tommy Emmanuel there. He played there several times.
I took my cheap Chinese Gypsy student guitar ($350) and they graciously turned it in a $850 one and put a It plays wonderfully now. They even put a Hot Spot pickup on it and all for ... $100.
Gypsy swing is back in my agenda now.
Thank you for your wishes.
Blessings, Abel

Hi Abel, Oh how I envy you! I’ve long since lost the feeling of exhilaration experienced on that last day. Since then, as each year passes, it’s amazing what comes along to soak up all that ‘free’ time...lol. Having multiple hobbies doesn’t help either. Still, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The big plus, of course, is the luxury of flexibility - deciding when you want to do something without those unwelcome feelings of stress and guilt. Many things can now be deferred without that persistent compulsion to keep ahead of the game. For the foreseeable future, time is now a commodity that can be manipulated to your advantage. Enjoy! One thing should be noted, however: Oddly enough, time somehow contrives to pass so much more quickly during retirement!! Regards, Mike

Hi Abel, Many congratulations on your well earned retirement. As others have said it is absolutely wonderful. Do what you like when you like. As Mike says time does seem to fly by. I think it's because you enjoy it so much lol.
Live long and enjoy.
Regards Brian

Hi Abel, Congratulations on your retirement. I have been semi-retired myself for over 12 years, working just when I feel like it. Make the most of the time you now have! Regards, Charlie

Hi Abel,
congratulations on your retirement.
I am enjoying MY retirement,as I have multiple hobbies, and now I have all the time to realize these fully. I must admit when I reached 60, I did not handle it well. I realized the stark fact, that I AM mortal. I retired THIS year on my 65th birthday and now I am so relaxed and chilled out. I have left the stresses of work behind, and value all the time I have left.
Hope you enjoy your well earned retirement, and all the best for the future.
regards
Stephano
