I have just purchased a Hall and Collins Signature Echo and I am extremely pleased with it. I jam with a friend who plays rythm and we have also played in a local pub a few times. My point is this. Everyone is trying to get the 'Hank' sound but can someone enlighten me on the equipment and rythm amp settings Bruce used when he played with the Shadows. Surely this is just as important when playing live.

Good to know you are pleased with your Hall and Collins unit! I have often noticed that Bruce seems to always use the Strat middle pickup. I have been told his sound is somewhat thin, possibly due to lighter gauge strings. He used a Roland RE-301 for the chorus effect on a few tunes. I don't think he would have ever used the echo effect. No other effects that I am aware of. I was told one of his Vox AC30 amps was fitted with Celestion G12T-75 speakers. Apparently he also likes the Fender Blues Deluxe amp. I have no idea about amp settings for his sound but is probably a simple matter of balancing the bass with the treble. Regards, Charlie
