Adjust each knob until you reach a sweet spot sound that you like. Just turn left to right and stop when it sounds good to you...
Why worry about somebody else's sound? Go for a sound you like.. Your sound..
George.

Hi Leslie,A good starting point is to stay on the clean channel, bass, treble and mids at 11 o clock and start low with boost and presence, and a splash of reverb at about 2 o clock...hope this helps....gary

I tend to prefer the clean with maybe some boost from the built in Blues driver on my Katana Artist, I’ve experimented with the crunch at zero but it seems too dirty still especially when being pushed with the drive from the Hall & Collins Matthew

Hi Leslie.
I have a Boss Katana 100W Head Amp.
I use the Boss Tone Studio on my computer. It's a brilliant piece of kit.
I use the clean chanel
Some clean boost
And tweak the ten band EQ to taste
Some one listed some Ronnie Gustaffsen setting from his EQ
In both examples below the 31:25. 62:5 8K. 16K are all at zero.
Pre 1963: -9 -9 -3 +6 +6 0
Post 1963: +6 +3 -6 0 +9 +7
This might give you a "Ball Park" setting to experiment with.
In the beginning I added some Reverb, but I don't think I need it with the HCSE.
I also purchased the GA-FC which is on the expensive side, but well worth having.
I created four patches.
1. Very Early Vox AC15
2. '61 Vox AC30
3. Vox AC Top Boost
4. Burns era
I fine tune the final product with a MXR Ten Band EQ as required.
I think the Boss Katana is an amazing amp and would definitely buy another if I somehow lost my present one. Dave

Hi Frankmarvin. I’ve heard unconfirmed rumours that there is a guy in New Zealand who does just that. He is reported to have said that it’s a b*gg*r having to wait for the steam pressure to rise! Dave
