Hi Charlie,
I have a Zoom 2000 with your EFTP patches installed.
I was just wondering. When you programme the patches into the machine, are they purely echo beats, or do you include other effects such as Reverb, Compression Etc.?
I ask this as when I am recording a Shadows number I usually have to add some reverb or other effects to get a true rendition of the original sound.
I record direct into my PC via a mixing desk, and modeller, and monitor the sound through headphones.
It could, of course, just be my dodgy ears!
Regards,
Ray.

Hi Ray,
Most of the RFX-2000 program patches have 6 red lights showing. These lights indicate that the 10 tap delay is in use. No other effects are possible with these patches, other than simple EQ and feedback to the delays.
The RFX units are largely only one effect at a time. You would have to add reverb with another unit, or in the software itself.
Alternatively, you could route the recorded signal back through the RFX input, use one of the many reverb programs available, set the mix to 100 wet, and record that reverb from the stereo outputs into 2 new tracks, so you could then play those tracks as reverb tracks and mix the sound as required.
Regards,
Charlie

Thanks Charlie for the kind reply.
I thought what you said was correct.
I use my mixing desk effects to add reverb etc. which seems to work well.
What you are sugesting, sounds very complicated to me.
As I record with Audition, I can also add effects post production, but rarely use this for effects. Mainly for cleaning up the recording.
Once again, Thanks.
Regards,
Ray.
