Charlie Can you advise should this pedal be placed before or after the echo unit and will it have an aux in by any chance? Thanks. Tony

RonG,
May I echo the comments of Dave. Congratulations on creating a very professional looking site that is very easy to navigate.
It is the efforts of members such as yourself (who give the less talented members (such as myself) so much help and support) that really add to the enjoyment of being an amateur player.
I have bookmarked it and will be frequent visitor.
Congratulations and thanks.

Hi Sheendigs,
I think that the 15 watt version is the VX I and the VX II is the 30 watt version.
I too am very interested to learn more about the VX I, it is half the weigh (ABS case) and two thirds the size of my trusty old Pathfinder 15R. I was thinking of getting a mini 3 but, as I currently don't have a stereo for the BT's (having to use my amplug at present) was concerned as to how well the little speaker would handle both guitar and BT. At the price the VX I looks like a winner for bedroom players.
Would love to learn more about it (VX I) but not sure that it is on general sale yet.
Regards, Tony

Like Ray, I have been considering the Mini 3 but wonder how good it is when you also put the BT through the Aux-in? I tried a DA5 a few years ago and thought it was great but not so good when also putting the BT through the small speaker. So I can't decide whether to keep my Pathfinder, buy a Joyo AC30 pedal and a cheap stereo or sell the Pathfinder and buy a "mini" Vox. Any thoughts from members would be much appreciated Thanks Tony

I have a Pathfinder 15R which I quite like (& it looks great) but it does not achieve anything like the AC15 tone. I have TX special p/ups and if I add a little gain and turn up the treble I can get close on the 4th - 6th strings but the 1st - 3rd strings sound way to glassy. It also does not have an Aux-in so I have a problem to play BTs now that my stereo is defunct.
I was thinking about getting a Joyo pedal (turning down the gain on the Pathfinder) and a small stereo but am now thinking of selling the Pathfinder (I only play at home and I have never used it at more than 1/3rd volume)and getting a Mini 3. Any thoughts or suggestions as to other possibilities would be welcome. Thanks.

I am a very amateur player and only play at home with the following equipment - MIJ strat with Texas specials & Elixir 11's, Vox Pathfinder 15R and Zoom 508.
I have a limited budget but for some time I have been thinking about purchasing a Gemini 3 - however I have never used the Pathfinder on more than about 1/3 rd volume and I am just about to move to a smaller (city) apartment, so this made me re-think.
I am now thinking about trading in the trusty Pathfinder for a DA5. To me this would have two other advantages - Aux in to allow connection of MP3 player for BT's and its size (I do tend to move around quite a lot).
Can anyone offer me sound(!) advice:- Should I stick with the Pathfinder (may have to also buy a new stereo) and buy an Ariab or Gemini unit? Should I look at the DA5 - can anyone tell me how good it is on tone and reliability? Any other suggestions?
Any thoughts would be most welcome. Thanks.
Tony
PS - I should have said that I try to play the older shads stuff (Stranger, Peacepipe, Atlantis, Wonderful land, Dance On, etc) and that's the sound I am looking for.
