If you want pre programmed effects go here (I think they are still available).
These are some demos that I posted about 8 years ago. I hope they're still available.

Is there any benefit over standard tremolo arm ? What does it do that a standard trem arm can't ? It's very expensive if there is nothing to gain from it . Before splashing out a lot of money buy yourself a cheap replacement arm for your guitar (I got mine from AXESRUS for £6.50 includung postage) and try bending it yourself between 2 pieces of wood held in a vice. You can see mine here www.4shared.com/photo/Hx2th_kDba/My_bent_trem_arm_-_2.htmlThis also has the advantage of shortening the arm a bit so now instead of hitting the strings over the neck pickup, I hit them between the neck and middle pickups.

Hi Kay
Haven't got the album yet (I'll get it when I'm in the UK in August) but it's advertised with Russian Doll as being a new composition with Ben.
Do agree though it would be nice to have more than one.

No need to spend a lot of money for this mod, you can create one yourself for free (although you might want to buy a new arm to modify incase you make a mistake). See this thread charliehall.proboards.com/thread/16449/easy-mute-system-squier-classic for more info. The advantage of the bend is that the end of the arm is in easy reach after muting and not pointing down at the floor.

Cliff Richards exploded onto the British music scene with his 1958 hit, "Move On." Cliff who? Move what?

Hi Rick , I don't understand why Hank hasn't been honoured either , he influenced so many players over the years , when I spoke to Ian on Sunday he couldn't understand Fenders laid back approach , thanks Ron I think you'll find that Hank was honoured with an OBE in 2004 but he declined it on religious grounds. www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/news/uk_news/article109440.ece

The basic G2 doesn't have a USB socket but does have a head phone socket which can be used to connect to the line-in socket on a PC. For recording I connect the head phone socket on my amp to the line-in on my PC.

I recorded Apache with the 'Casting A Shadow' BT (the UB Hank one isn't really usable for this purpose). Hi Dave, can you explain what you mean by this, is it that the UBH tracks in general don't sound good with the HCSE unit or just this one? I always use UBH apart from a couple from other sources.

Hi Charlie Two things 1. I'm not unfortunatelly in the position to buy one of your units at the moment but if I scrape the cash together in say a years time will they still be available? 2. Regarding Hank's involvement, why not just send him a unit and say "what do you think cobber"?

Hi Adrian
I use Audacity quite a lot for modifying backing tracks (making them short/longer or slower/faster) as well as for recording.
So there are at least 2 ways achieving what you want.
1. With the Selection tool selected (it should be by default) click and drag across the section that you want to reduce and select the Effect>Amplify menu. Drag the slider at the top of the dialog but do it in small steps, you can preview the result.
2. Use the Envelope tool which should be next to the Selection tool. You click at the required position in the track to set place holders that can be moved in towards the centre of the track to reduce the volume. You probably need to set 4 positions and the use the 2 inner ones to change the volume. This has the advantage over method 1 in that you can get a smooth transition from the loud part to the quieter part and vice versa. In step 1 you get an abrupt change at each end.
Look in the help file index under Envelope Tool for more info.

Hi Charlie New Zealand voltage is the same as Australia 230 volts and the same 3 pin plug. I don't know if I could get a UK adapter to NZ power I will find out when the time comes. Cheers Bruce Hi We've got a couple of UK to Oz adaptors so they are available. We got ours at Heathrow but I think I've seen them in travel shops in Sydney so you should be able to get one locally.

Hi Chaps, thanks for the comments.
Duncan, perhaps this may go part way to answering your question about Fender amps in General. These recordings were made using the basic Mustang 1.

I've recorded 3 Shads tunes using the Zoom G3X and the updated patches from *** so that you can get an idea of how good they are. I've recorded all 3 tunes in Audacity both direct from the G3 to the Line-In on my PC and also from the Phones socket on my amp to the PC to see if there's any difference. I personally can't hear much difference (to me that means either that my ears are going or I've got the amp set nearly right regarding bass, treble etc ), anyway they sound good to me (ignoring any mistakes on my part). There is no post processing, all I've done is normalise the backing and the lead and then mixed the tracks together Atlantis G3 only www.4shared.com/mp3/4SZdhSo8ba/Atlantis_G3_Only.html Atlantis through G3 and Amp www.4shared.com/mp3/2nsSj0O8ce/Atlantis_G3_and_Amp.htmlThe Stranger G3 only www.4shared.com/mp3/goPxrPJoce/The_Stranger_G3_Only.html The Stranger through G3 and Amp www.4shared.com/mp3/xDEnPgHKba/The_Stranger_G3_and_Amp.htmlPeace Pipe G3 only www.4shared.com/mp3/3lx440Bice/Peace_Pipe_G3_Only.html Peace Pipe through G3 and Amp www.4shared.com/mp3/31kl2HWxce/Peace_Pipe_G3_and_Amp.htmlAtlantis played with the Bridge PU except the muted parts, Neck PU, The Stranger played with Bridge PU and Peace Pipe with the Neck PU. Equipment: JHS Vintage Reissued V6 Guitar as bought with all Wilkinson hardware and Elixir Nanoweb 10-46 strings (finished in red of course, the guitar that is, not the strings). Cheapo wireless system (Harman AKG WMS 40 mini from Amazon). Zoom G3X effects pedal with *** Hall's Updated patches. I used the Global Output setting of "Direct" for all recordings (I suppose that I should have used one of the 4 amp settings when playing through my amp but none of them sounded as good to me). Fender Mustang 1 Amp This was set up using the Fuse software as follows Fender '65 Twin Reverb Bright - OFF Gain - 4 Volume - 10 Treble - 2 Middle - 8 Bass - 1 Backing Tracks - UB Hank I must emphasise that this is not about ME and my playing but is about THE PATCHES and the sound that *** has provided. Hope you agree that they are pretty good.
