Yes doing the respray yourself is very doable. I bought tins of guitar paint matched to the correct colour from Northwest Guitars and had very successful results. I have also bought cellouse car paint and let a car body shop spray it on the prepared guitar. They tend to spray on to much and if left to dry naturally does not harden or cure quickly, (I have had experience of the paint feeling dry to touch but was getting the marks of the guitar stand sinking into the paint, and that was from a very well known Guitar shop in London) in fact one instrument sprayed in sonic blue was still soft paint after 7 years ( a good test is to see if you can sink your finger nail in the new paint.
Anyway whatever route you take good luck, take your time and you will get fantastic results and will enjoy the whole experience.

I absolutely agree with sheendigs. That would be very much an added extra I would really like to see as my whole live performances are midi controlled it would make life so mush easier.

I came up against this very scenario a few years ago. So I made eg settings for different tunes, songs, instrumentals, etc on an alesis quadraverb and stored and named each one of them in a different patch. Simples, works a treat. I will say the old quadraverbs are getting on a bit now and although I have several of them the only thing that has gone wrong is the screen needs changing sometimes. I have noticed that the prices of these units are starting to go up now.

What a lovely clear pure tone. Love to know how he gets it what gear he is using and what pickups he has?.
Anyone?

Hi all
Read with much interest ( the bit about the galloping sound ) Does anyone who plays this tune ( and I suppose we all do or have at some point ) think that Hank on the original 1960 version muted the strings lightly with the palm of his right hand while playing the galloping bit. I played it like that for years ( it sort of gave the echo Binson T7E sound a bit more oomph ) but now I'm using Hall and Collins unit I'm not sure whether it should be muted or not. Anyone ?
