Hi Darrell
great purchase. It's the tone aspect I am after as the echo I have achieved on other units e.g. Zoom G5 and G3n (thanks Dave). So make me think of getting the Strymon. That vintage tone has been elusive for me (though many on this site have achieved it with the same equipment that I have)

(excuse if font size is too big as it shows large on my screen and can't see where to reduce)

Hi
I'm sure someone can help.
What is the key for the above Gene Pitney song as played by the Shadows?
I am trying source a backing track. The one I have is in the original key but I would like the Shadows version, as some backing track sites can change the key so I need this information.
thanks for any help
regards Stan.
Also what recommendation for Hall and Collins patch? (I normally default to the Atlantis patch for most songs).

It would not surprise that each are clones of each other using the same chip? So should be equally as good (but only speculating)

Hi Len
I have a mark II head which I connect to an alnico gold, odd that you need to connect via a zoom

Hi Len
interesting
I take it you leave the MV50 tone control at 12 oclock and let the actone do the modelling?

Hi Rob,
reminds me I have an old AD60VT in the garage. Are you using the AC30TB setting? I may try it with the Halls and Collins I have as a change from my helix LT.

Hi Charlie
I love my H&C unit.
The idea of a modeller with the AC15/EF86 would have me first in the queue. Interesting that Vox mentioned this feature for their AV series of amps, but no mention of Hank and co.

Hi Charlie
my unit arrived within 24h after ordering. Excellent service and terrific sounding. Tried it out and packed away for Christmas.
Very well made and looks great and love the ideas of the patches preprogrammed with the tune names. Will have a proper play after Christmas dinner.
Only minor issue is the power supply socket, which is a bit loose and sometimes need a waggle to connect, but will not need to be returned. Will think of a way of retaining the cable to take pressure off the plug.
thanks for all the development that has gone into it and for bedroom players like me a fantastic way of sounding half decent. Well worth the wait.
best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

Hi Matthew
I think I read this same article in a magazine here in the UK, many years ago but did not buy it. Thanks for uploading it.
Have you tried this setting on your AC30?

funny enough I was thinking along the same lines
looking at the mini 3 and well as the ac4 c1. as mentioned in previous post my AC30 H2l is completely wasted as a home amp, never getting is past 1 on the volume dial(not 1 o'clock).
from the various clips (local hero) it seems the small speaker of the mini 3 does not distract from the great tone either. For me the AC4 may also be too much for my needs as a I never play out of the conservatory.

Hi Sandor
I only came across this app at the weekend and was wondering if anyone has tried it, so glad you did.
a lovely effort and for not a lot of money. Did you use the vox amp sim?
very well done.

I thought the line 6 was more for the more 'aggressive' player.
the vox is top of my list

Hi Roger
shops (2) didn't have it in stock so will look in Liverpool or Manchester. As a matter of interest will the tone control setting be similar to the AC30, I.e. both close to zero?
had a look at the line 6 amplifi, quite interesting but the guy who demoed for me couldn't dial in a suitable tone and had it overdriven
thanks Stan

Hi Roger
very interesting. I have the AC30H2l and it is too loud to get the best tone in my conservatory. From your excitement I will try the AC4 at the earliest opportunity when I visit my nearest city (Chester)

thanks Noel
I too have the full version. It wont save with the latest IOS8 on my ipad but just tried it on my ipod which is still IOS7 and it saves. On the website they say there is an issue with IOS7 and working on it. Which IOS are you using?
Hi Dave leave it in the order they have it to start with. The free version has the AC30 sim, delay and a reverb. You can add for a small cost a multitap which Noel has kindly give his settings.
once you have the hardware the rest is relatively cheap and very good value.
