I am not sure whether my Quad plus has recently developed this problem or if it is something that has always been there and I have just not really noticed it before, but there seems to be hiss as the echo is decaying. Nothing major but just a bit annoying. Anyone else had this, or throw any light?

There have been noise problems with some old Quadraverbs and GT units but the problem was worse than you describe, with ringing noises accompanying the decays. Not sure if what you're hearing is the start of something similar or not. There is always some background hiss with these older models though. Regards, Charlie

Thanks Charlie, have discovered that if I turn the input control up and the output down it helps a lot and the hiss is not nearly so noticeable. Still a super unit though with great sound.

Hi Jim, The input level needs to be at around 4 o' clock with most Fender guitars. Regards, Charlie
