Hi members.I was simply messing around with the gear today and thought that i would get my little Kodak camera on to it.I actually managed to get something on U TUBE ! .......... Trouble is,i am not quite sure how i did it ! Im not that smart unfortunately. However,I would really love some comments on this basic bit of noodling ......... For sound. However critical. If id known it was going to work,Then i would of smartened up and smiled .......... much more lol !.The noodling is not Shadows based. ............ Thts to come now that i know that it works ! If any members should be interested to have a quick look in then all i did was dial in U TUBE RICK JANDO Im not sure yet how to do it ant other way. ........... If you should listen to the little piece of drive,Then i must add that the patch needs setting up properly on the zoom. .......... I should of used the Boss ! ............. I will take up my flack dodging position ! Best Wishes. Rick.
Edited to display the noodles in the message ... saves searching. Hope you don't mind. George

Hi Rick,
WOW you seem to really know your way around a fretboard - I really enjoyed listening! If these clips are just 'whacked off', then I'd really like to see you play some serious stuff!
I'll keep a look out for your future posts, thanks for sharing . . .

Hello Rick, That was great, I'm looking forward to hearing some more,,thanks for taking the time to put it on the site. Just be looking at what happened to you on the new Bourne End site, what a nasty way to greet you, thank god this site is not like that, if that bloke treats people like that they wont get much of a membership. Best Regards, Bob.

Hiya Rod.Thankyou so much for taking a look,And for your comments.Yes the noodling was a bit whacked off, sorry. And i looked in such an unbelieveable state ! i am rather embarrassed lol !I am a very casual and laid back person but it was hard to even look at myself ! Its just that i couldnt believe what my little Kodak easyshare camera was picking up,It was just a frantic blur and especially how on earth did i actually manage to open and use the U TUBE account ! I am still trying to work that one out lol ! Best wishes Rod. Rick.

Hi Bob,Thankyou for listening in and for your comments.Yes,That was very unfortunate what happened while trying to Join the Bourne end site. The new South Bucks Shadows club is only around 2 miles from where i live and i thought it would be supportive to join the site. Well i was rather taken aback At the effort i had to make to actually join. But then clubs have their own rules i suppose but by then id become a touch offended hence the dopey stuff that followed on site.I did request to delete my membership and i think that .. That has happened now.Being quite a new site,I did almost feel physically cold when i looked in as at the time there didnt seem to be many members looking in. Yes Bob,Our Charlie Hall & friends is definately a warm & friendly site. You can feel the welcome and the warmth when we are on here.So many knowledgeable and helpful members here,Its almost a priviledge to be here.I really dont think that this site will be topped anytime soon,I just hope that Charlie himself can find the strength to be around almost as before. I did visit the Bourne End Community centre for the meeting in March complete with the Les and a couple of bits. But got called away before i could really get in there and get my name down. But,From what i heard from out in the reception area,There were some very good sounds coming out.The drums were a bit boomy at first but then the hall is quite a sparse kind of place,The sounds tend to bounce around quite a lot.I had played many gigs there through the years and found that a packed house in that hall corrected a lot of the accoustic problems.A touch of compression on the Guitar is a great help. I almost went to the club on Thursday but time just went too quickly and i didnt get there in the end.But i will probably get go down during the May meeting. Its probably time that i shut up eh ! Bob,Thankyou. Rick.

Hiya Chris,Its nice of you to have looked in and thankyou for your comments.I did during Friday evening delete all of the video's except for one.I hope that i left the right one ! Now that i am over my frienzied panic attack ............ I hardly knew what to do next as i was trying to take everything in with setting up U TUBE etc. However now that i have calmed down,i will take another good look at what i do here,I have tons of material to play with though i fear that whatever else i may put on the site will always be very basic and amerteurish as the vid that i left on site.I just havnt got that kind of knowledge nor patience anymore to sit and learn about making good recordings. As for live sound,The old 79 Marshall valve combo which is as old as the Les,completes the circuit along with just a few effects that makes being on any stage with the band or duo such a pleasure.Im not talking about what might be generally expected from a Gibson / Marshall combination but Just finding that sound level where the EL34 power stage turns magical. .......... Im definately not talking about distortion of any kind, but that kind of sweet spot where everything just falls into place.I probably play on around 25 - 30 watts of valve power from the Marshall 50 combo and as i said, with some luck the sound starts to happen subject to accoustics and many other little things. Chris,Thankyou for your comments. In fact thankyou to all members for your feedback .......... Aw i had to mention feedback eh ! Best wishes. Rick.

Hi members,Well,I know how it looks. But i am not going to bore anybody with this anymore. Its rather like when someone comes up to us on a gig and they say,Can i sing a number with the band ? Well,we always oblige. .......... They go down really well sometimes and so they want to sing another number, and again they go down really good but,By the end of the third number, more often than not,They generally blow it because they dont know when to get off ! Im sure that a few members have seen this. I did put another video on the tube albeit a very poor quality recording, ........ My Kodak easyshare again lol ! ......... I might become dangerous if i had the right gear eh ! This is a kind of re make of one of Chers last hits,We have always said that she should of recorded this version ! We do this live on the gigs with the vocals and the rest of the orchestration and it always goes down a bomb. This particular backing is too quiet, sorry. As i mentioned,This is not about looking for medals, that wore off years ago ! comment still welcome, .......... especially the bad ones. The Guitarists on our wonderful site will know exactly what this feels like to play. George,Thankyou for working your magic with the links,I didnt realise at the time, the connection. Bill might also like to look in,Just make allowances for the situation. Its the vid with me in the white top, ......... Still scruffy, but not quite so dark. Thats it ! I will not mention this again lol ! Best wishes, and thank you all members for your kind comments. Rick.

Hiya Rosemary ! ........... Tell you what,I could definately get interested in a Vox AC15 C1 after hearing you playing through yours. Aw those days when i used to lug 2 AC30's around. No wonder my back hurts sometimes ! As i mentioned before, you are definately going forward really well,You also seem to have a good memory. As i think dave ? mentioned,It might be useful to try to get a few objects or absorby things in that room of yours which will tame what is a very lively sound that you have there. And of course, there is nothing wrong with that.Your mutey bits come over really well. ............ You can see the state of my room ! To be honest,Im always embarrassed when they all drop in there lol ! Its like dancing in quicksand as it is also so small,But its the only practical place in the house to leave a semi permanent set up. Rosemary,Thankyou again for your lovely comment and especially for telling ME what my link is lol ! I do at least know what to do now without my usual page long essay, ........ After this one ! Best wishes, Rick.
