More MIDI soundfile demos demonstrating the capabilities of MIDI these days. This time it is Queen and once again the files are free MIDI files off the internet beefed up by the Korg Keyboard and some levelling and EQ and home studio to finish. Have done these from memory rather than comparing to originals. Quite pleased with these. Check out the piano tone just like Freddies I think on the records ? John sorry it has taken so long to reply... the answer is i get the standard MIDI file off the net and then change the sounds to those on the Korg to improve the sound and apply some EQ and levelling here and there. The actual MIDI programming is therefore done by someone else and these are free to use general MIDI files improved as stated.

Hi Roger, Sounds like you are having a lot of fun tweaking these midi's and some great sounds. Having recently begun mucking around with midi sequencing (with the help of Tony Kiek) I am in awe of skill and work some of these midis show. The sequencing for Bohemian in particular is amazing. Someone put a lot of time and expertise into creating it.
Are you planning to do some as guitar instros ?
cheers George

Hi George thanks it was fun and I did a lot of general MIDI files to test how good the sounds could be and clearly you can do great sounds with MIDI and the right kit. Yes the people that have programmed some of these files have done some sterling work. I think the MIDI controller is the important thing ... so for drum parts use a MIDI drum controller , guitar work a guitar controller and then I think some parts will sound more like the instrument you are programming. It is clearly difficult to paly guitar parts with a piano style keyboard so having the right controller is going to get you closer in. I do intend to do some backings for the Shads as a starting point, but at present I am building my experience with MIDI and delving in as it were. Glad you appreciated the files.

Hi Rogerbayliss.
I was wondering did you overlook my question, or just choose not to answer?? I find it rather ignorant that you have managed to comment on everyone elses and dismissed mine, so I think that in future I will save my time on further comments on your posts
