As far as I recall they are rare as rocking horse, they were the spec fender released but hank didn't like the lace sensors so they were recalled but something like 20 of them did remain in the public, would be great to see some pics

That's very interesting, Steve, and thanks for the link.
It's difficult to put a value on these guitars in view of their rarity so I wonder how much the Seller is asking for it. I might just ask him............
Cheers.

Music ground had one about a year ago and they wanted about 8k for it, I'd love one as they are the one that got away but I'd never pay that sort of cash even if I had it

HI HANK 2 ,LUCKY-MAN have been given that-Strat , Great-stuff ,But I will add I fitted lace sensors one time in a strat & found them a bit Muddy sounding ,but it looks as though yours will be well worth keeping AS-IS ,to retain the Rare value .. CHEERS ,,,,,,,,BARRY..

Hi,
I have just made reference to these guitars in my posting on the 'official' Hank Marvin/Shadows Custom Shop Stratocasters thread. Included are some pictures of the instruments, the original advertisement and also a letter that came with each model sold.
You might find this useful - it is a link to a forum in my latest posting.
Cheers
Ian
