I CAN play all of the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

I've recently added "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" to my Shads repertoire(in the key of D). Today I was searching through my old c.d.s and found the Shads original recording of it and it is in a different key. Does anyone know the reason for the key change? Regards, John.

I dont even think its in a "proper" key at all. Whenever I tried to play along with it in the past (before I got a better version) it always seemed to be an "in between "key. Could never get the thing right... I suppose you could always retune the guitar if it was just a case of getting the fingering correct. The same goes for Riders.

I recorded Summer Holiday on the tele one afternoon and tried playing along to Round&Round (the nightclub scene) but it was also in between keys. Instead of A it was between that and Bflat, but that could well have been the speed of the film being adapted for TV broadcasting.
