When I can afford to order one of Alan's guitars, I think I'll push him for some serious discount for all this free publicity I've generated.

Hi Kevin,
I think it is a very reasonable reply, assuming you do not know her nor she you. I'm amazed any artist would give such a detailed reply to an email from an unknown individual. Imagine getting dozens or more emails from people you do not know and individually answering each in detail in addition to all the other things that take up your time.

Alan Brason is an amazing luthier and a real gentleman. He made two "Strats" for me and they look and play like a Fender Custom Shop at a fraction of the price.
One of my Brason "Strats" has a "D" neck and the other a "C" . . . I believe the "D" profile is superior -- once you get used to it.

Hi Bojan,
I hope to get mine in 8 months time and I can't wait as I've heard so much about them.
Regards

Hi Kevin, Like you I'm on the waiting list probably just a bit later than you. I haven't decided on a spec yet or whether the guitar will be for me or my son as I now have 2 strats. The good thing is Alan's guitars are every bit as good as the Fender Custom shop ones as those members who have both will verify. And you can specify exactly what you want. One thing I would suggest is go for a push fit tremolo arm rather than the screw thread ones. So much easier to remove when you put the guitar in the case and no excess play before the tremolo operates. The 8 months will fly by ! Cheers Phil

Hi Phil, Good idea, I never thought about that. There's nothing worse than that wee bit of play in the trem arm. I will e-mail Alan and ask him to change mine. I'm getting a cold steel block, that should be ok I suppose. I'll ask him. I meant to thank you for replying to my question in Messages. The months ARE flying by almost March already. Regards Kevin

Hello ! Late to the party here ! I have just picked up what I I am pretty sure is one of Alan’s Strats. Is anyone here familiar enough with his work to verify this? Does anyone have a contact for the man himself? I am really keen to find out details on age and specs etc! May be it belonged to some on here originally? Please contact me if you have any info!
