Hi Charlie, I assumed you already had your own unit? I haven't tried the Gemini and haven't heard of your cut control Matthew

Hi Frank, Thanks for your order and good wishes. There is no battery required and the chip stores edited program changes.
Hi Matthew, I have one coming eventually but we are making sure everyone who wants one gets theirs first. The unit I designed and marketed a while back was called the Cutting Edge. It doesn't act like a cut control though, it removes bass and some mids. Regards, Charlie

Yeah Charlie, they seem to have messed with the normal channel tone on AC30s, Brian Mays must have been dark sounding why he needed a treble booster. Both my modern ones sound pretty neutral sounding tone wise. As you know, I got the bright cap changed on my version 2 Custom Classic AC30 cause it was too bright Matthew

Hi Mick (Gliderslead) I use a Gemini 3 and a Tech 21 Liverpool in conjunction with my HCSE. (through a Vox Mini 3) Possibly both pedals aren’t necessary but they get me pretty close to the sound I'm looking for especially for playing at home. Haven't been able to gig with this set up to date. Having written the above, I've heard some great results with HCSE going straight into a Vox AC 30. Regards Dave

Hi Matthew, The normal channel on old AC30 amps has no bright capacitor at all, unless it is an AC30T model. Regards, Charlie

Hello Dave,
Thanks for your comment here. I have already decided to leave my Gemini in my rig and was wondering if it was about time I needed to put my cutting edge together!!!
Cheers
Mick

Hi Charlie, The July 2016 issue of Guitar Player magazine has a review of the H&CSE on page 102. For kudos, it states, "Fabulous old-school echo effects transport you to the '60s."
Regards, Alan

Well I love the unit myself and oh dear I now have an issue ! Power issues actually. Plug the power supply into the usual wall socket as you do, then lead into the echo unit. Switch on , watch everything power up as it should. Nothing wrong so far, then flicker from the screen and we go through the power up mode again? Thought oh wall adapter issue, or a break in the lead somewhere. After a few wiggles here and there. Then I pinpointed the issue down to the power socket on the echo unit itself. Tap this with my finger and there is clearly a loose connection. Emailed has been sent to customer support and eagerly await a reply. Anyone else had such an issue ?

The centre pin of the socket is a split pin. It is possible to prise the two halves apart slightly with a very sharp knife to restore the tightness of the connection. However, you have done the right thing to contact support. They should advise you the best way to proceed. They shouldn't mind if you want to try the quick fix first! Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie' Sorry for being late to reply. I did try as you advised. And yes there was an improvement however when I lifted the unit up to test it flickered again. Before anyone says don't move it whilst plugged in. The cable wasn't strained or tugged in any way. I simply needed to check for loose connection. The unit is being sent tomorrow by UPS So should soon be checked and sorted within a couple of days.
