Hello Charlie I have given my details in reply to the e-mail received & have been told I will be contacted next week for payment, looking forward to receiving it, my power supply for my pedals is a Decibel eleven, it has a 12v outlet at 400mA, I notice from the pictures of your unit that it has a supply of 12v & 1A, I'm not very knowledgeable about these things, would my supply be ok or would you recommend a different power supply? Regards Alan Hi Alan, I looked up your power supply on the internet, as Charlie suspected it only supplies DC, so you must not use it for the Hall & Collins unit. Bill

Hi Alan and Bill, The H & C echo unit needs a 12V AC power supply to operate correctly. If you plug a 12V DC supply in by mistake, you won't damage the unit , or the power pack, but you will get no sound! As for whether to plug the power pack into the mains, before or after plugging in the power connector to the echo unit, it really doesn't make much difference either way. Regards, John Collins

I hope you and your staff have better luck getting the pedals inside the cardboard and the other bits and pieces that go into the box than I do when I open something up to look at it and then try and get it all neatly back in the box that it arrived in Steve

I was at the factory today giving a final once over and play testing of the units. The first lot to be sent should be going out tomorrow (Wednesday). I was told that when a unit is being sent, the customer will be informed by email.
Hi Tim, I saw someone shorten the name to the initials, so maybe HCSE or H&CSE will become a more widely used abbreviation.
Regards, Charlie

To Charlie or Steveelec, Glad to hear the first batch is about to be dispatched. What sort of time period are you hoping to complete dispatch all of the confirmed orders 2 or 3 weeks e.g.?.
Regards
John

Hi John, I think with luck they should all (that are currently on order) be shipped within about 2 weeks. I don't think it would be as long as 3 weeks. I understand that customers will be informed by email on the day their unit is sent. Regards, Charlie

Hi John, They won't want to make you pay much earlier than they know they can deliver a unit to you. Your place in the queue should be assured regardless of when you pay as long as they have written to you already. Regards, Charlie

Hi all, it was a pleasure to deal with Derek, very friendly and helpful. Outstanding response time, it seems he is working around the clock. Ordering, paying via bank transfer and receiving the invoice was an absolute smooth transaction. Date of dispatch is fixed according to my wishes. Derek Charlie, obviously a great team is doing the job Regards Jo

Yes, I like what I have seen of how things are done at the factory. I am now looking forward to see some user reviews! I am interested in everything, first impressions, opening the box, trying through the amp for the first time, thoughts on how the rotary controls effect the sound if used, maybe even some recordings later! Regards, Charlie

The communication and service from Derek at Electromech has been second to none. My unit should be with me tomorrow and I plan to spend some time with it before taking it to work tomorrow evening. I have one Strat here strung with tapewound strings and others with roundwounds, along with my Vox AC-4 AND A VT-80 and am looking forward to a day of fun. I love my job !

Just in case everyone isn't aware, while the instruction manual includes a list of 50 Shadows tunes/patches there is now a far more complete list that can be downloaded from the Downloads area of the Hall & Collins site under the Documents section of the page: hallandcollins.com/index.php/downloadsRegards, Charlie

Well, mine is also on the way and due tomorrow!! Very exited! It will be coming to work with me, along with my Oasis Shads Strat, 1960' Strat relic and AC30. I'm another one who's lucky enough to get down time whilst at work.. On occasion. Probably just talked up a busy few days now!!

Just received mine ! Unboxed it and took a look. It is solid and built to last by the feel and finish. Toughest pedal I have ever seen I think ! Looks fab and correct power supply and a manual. Came in white cardboard box with a sleeve with information on and photos. I shall try out serial 174 in a while and get back to you. Well done Charlie and John my echo dreams might have come true thanks to you. I can further state that the display is very good and clear and the whole unit has a robustness that takes me back to a time when British engineering was at its finest in producing quality products. Made in Great Britain is back ! The patches are easy to follow with a lot having song names. It starts with Apache and the early stuff then onto the Echomatic 2 which essentially has a sequence of rising echo levels. The Model J is there as well. Having a session with it in a while.

It arrived about half an hour ago and I have played Kon Tiki , Apache, Wonderful Land, Blue Star & Flingel Bunt as a tester and it is superb ! The immediate thing I noticed was an elusive tone without the echo that sometimes I have got close to but others not, but it's in there ! So it's a massive YES from me, congratulations to Charlie and John and the Derek and the team at Electromech, as Roger mentioned it's built like a brick s***house and it's BRITISH and we should be proud - the best yet by a country mile and at a sensible price. I'll post some stuff later for you to hear.

Mine's just arrive too. First impressions- excellent packaging and a high quality feel to the pedal itself. Very please to see the 'Made in the UK'' motif along with the Union Jack staring up at me once the outer sleeve was removed! I'm really proud that this unit has been produced at home and glad to see it stated on the packaging! Right.. Now to plug in.. Watch this space for more coming soon!
