Hi Charlie,
Long time admirer and avid reader of this fantastic site but first time poster.
Currently eagerly awaiting delivery of your unit (I think the wife is speaking to me again !!).
I would be extremely grateful if you could let me know which patch should be used for the following tracks:
Pulaski, Fender Bender, Rusk.
Best regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul, Thanks for purchasing the Hall & Collins Signature Echo. I hope you will be delighted with it. Pulaski: P38 (some parts have a double track sound that is a separate effect) Fender Bender: P39 (echo is turned off for intro and other similar parts) Rusk: Not certain but sounds like a Binson so try P51 Regards, Charlie

Hello Charlie,
I have just received my HCSE (#568) Please, could you recommend a methodology to create a new patch (from another one or from scratch) ? I have understood the EDIT section and how to manage.
Because there are such many combinations that does not sounds easy to get what i am looking for . ( i would not take hours and hours to create a patch)
So the question is about the methodoly.
Kind regards. Jean Michel

Hello Jean Michel, There are many ways to approach the editing of patches. First of all, you do not create a patch from an empty blank patch as such a thing does not exist in the H & C unit, you start from a patch that is something like the one you want to make. The H & C instruction manual lists the basic echo unit types but you can also listen to the existing patches to see which ones you like the sound of. When you have chosen a patch that sounds closest to what you want, you can then edit the delay times, the head levels, the head feedback levels, the echo output level, and the main feedback level. I can help you better if you let me have some idea of the sound you are looking for. Regards, Charlie

Hi billyboy, OK, thanks. I saw Daniel Martin at Shadowmania playing nice versions on YouTube, so I suggest P15 for Summer Place and P38 for Magnificent Seven. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, That's definately the one. I've tried it on a couple of others but just seemed to be missing something, totally transformed it now. Keep up the good work. Best regards, Paul.

Hi Tori, Sorry it isn't on the list. It is P14. I have added it to the next downloadable version. Regards, Charlie Hi Charlie, I wonder whether you have had time to update the list yet? I have been reading this thread this morning and you have made a few helpful recommendations which would certainly be worthy additions. In particular, you mentioned using P14 for Deep Purple, a favourite of mine. I popped over to the H&CSE site and looked at the latest list and note that it is still absent. Regards, Mike
