Hi Joe,
Yes it's just you!!!! Hanks tuning pegs are Sperzels and they are goldplated. How do I know this?? I've saw and handled those guitars multiple times backstage. Why are you so keen on the details of these strats, who were build in the 90's? Maybe you can ask it all at once, so I can answer you in one go instead of several threads....
Cheers Rob

Hi Rob,
I think it must be the light then on the photos and film of the tour. I will start asking my questions on this thread from now on then!

Hi Joe,It might be a good idea to ask fenderplucker about the gold tuners on Hanks main strat as he might know,Even from the early 90s the tuning posts look chrome while the nuts on the front of the headstock look gold in almost every photo on the net,the cover of heartbeat album for example,It's possible that they're Schaller rather than sperzel,2 of his sig strats from 09 were definitely gold sperzels. I'll just mention that I have gold (satin) tuners on a strat and the tuning posts are a different colour to the nuts on the headstock. regards gary

Gary,
Did you read my reply?? I've encounter Hanks CS guitars from year one when he start to use these and they all had the Sperzels in gold except in the pre-proto stage of no 1. Number 2 and 3 were later build by Mark Pressling of Fender UK. All those different colors are easier to blame to the studio or stage lightning, then a maybe guessing game of different specs and brands of tuning pegs....

Hi Bor, well...it beats debating the fiesta red thing, I'm sure Paul can put us out of our misery,I'm not saying they're not gold sperzels, I'm saying they look chrome in photos, I'm talking about the one he used mostly with the darker neck.the first sig he used in 1990 had a much brighter neck and gold satin sperzels,so its not that one.I'd say this one surfaced around 1992, regarding Arbiter,to my knowledge they only ever replaced the neck on 1 of them, that's the one he uses on riders at the countdown concerts, and they also set up his guitars from the mid 90s to that period. regards gary

Hi,
The CS Strats that Hank used on the 2009 tour all had gold Sperzels, as Rob said.
Regards,
Paul.

Hi Gary, Yes your right about the f red debat Your remark about they could be maybe Shallers suggest at least your were not convinced with by reply On some CS production versions of the HM signature/autograph strats they used Shallers...but those strats were not in spec with the original idea behind the project. I played some and they cut corners on the neck and body profile too. I've spoken with Hank about that and he wasn't amused about it. Cheers Rob

Hi
I'm a bit surprised that nobody has mentioned scouserjoe's stickied thread and associated PDF document at the top of this board on Hank's Signature Strats.
It will tell you pretty well all you need to know about these guitars.
Cheers.

Well Tony, It's because it's about Hanks own samples the 1,2,3 "CS" guitars and not about the run of the mill models for Jo public.... I reckon also Joe is/was smart enough to check that tread before he start asking all his questions... Cheers Rob

Hank told me at the O2 that he had to set the treble low. Sorry I don't have more details. Regards, Charlie
