Hello All.
I have enlarged my pedal board cover so it will accommodate my H&CSE, which is a little higher than my other effects, and plan to fix it in place with Velcro. This would involve removal of the rubber feet.
To ensure I would cause no damage to parts inside the unit when putting the screws back - as they would go further inside the unit - I checked with the Service Department. Derek has advised as follows (copied from his email):
"The four screws that hold the feet on also hold the top to the bottom. You can certainly take the rubber feet off and put the screws back in without the rubber feet without damage. Do this one at a time so that it doesn’t all come apart."
Hope this helps others too.
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick, I've done that a year ago too...after asking Derek and Charlie... I kept the unit in normal position when I unscrew the screws, so not on it's side or upside down... Till now that unit keeps working...

I also did the same shortly after purchasing the Unit. TBH I hadn't thought of possible damage. Fortunately all is well with the unit! Thanks for posting that Mick. Regards Dave

Hello Rob and Dave,
Thank you both for your comments. I didn't think I would be alone in making this alteration and thought I would post Derek's note because it is so concise and clears up all the questions and concerns for others.
Before I made my enquiry, in addition to wondering if the screws holding the feet in place also secured other electronic parts, I had thought that perhaps I would simply just turn the unit over and take all four screws out. What a surprise that would have been when turning it back!!!
Cheers and good wishes
Mick
