Hi Tom The one 12v AC output should be OK. It's pretty much what I've been using. Regards Dave

Hi Tom, Sorry for the delayed reply. The 12V AC supply should work if the connector fits. The continuous draw of the H & C is around 200-250ma. Regards, Charlie

Charlie, Thanks for that. I thought it had to be 1000mA. That was not I was sure of. Ok thanks Mate.Just as another point I have just had my 57 reissue Strat stringed with 12-68's. Lovely tones and brilliant with the H & C. Haven't had a real good go at all songs yet as I am still fiddling around with the pedal board. I find that if I go thru my Boss ME70 then through a couple of pedals then the H&C as the last pedal before the amp, the ME70 doesn't have any sound but if I go through the H & C first and the ME70 last, the Me 70 works. Any ideas Charlie. Cheers Tom

Hi Tom, I over-specified the power supply for where it is available for reliability reasons. I have both a 500ma and a 1000ma power supply here and they have both worked fine up till now. Not sure what is going on with your pedal chain. Have you tried the ME-70 and the H & C, in that order, without the other two pedals? Regards, Charlie

Thanks Charlie I have just ordered the T Rex Camillion power box . That should work my ME70 plus the H & C. By the way the 12-68's are working and sounding great. They certainly toughen up the old filanges. Merry Xmas Charlie to you and yours and all the best for 2018. I had a shocker this year and am hoping for a much improved 2018 Cheers Tom

Hi Charlie,
A long time since we last spoke or indeed since your visit here, I hope you are keeping well?
I have been having trouble with my adaptor, severe crackling from the connector at the rear of the H & C unit, I purchased another unit from Maplin as they assured me the unit would work fine, it didn't, returning the adaptor to them they had no idea what I required and sent me to PMT Guitars who were also at a loss as to what to recommend.
All I need is the correct adaptor, can you please advise me where I can purchase the correct item?
Like your last writer, I too had a shocker of a year in 2017 with illness for 9 months, I hope you did much better?
Kind regards, Mel

Hi Mel, Good to hear from you. Sorry to hear you have had a bad time and hope that the worst is over. I have had a bad cold and tiredness for some weeks but am getting over it now. You can get a new power adaptor from the manufacturer of the Hall & Collins unit (support@hallandcollins.com), but it is possible that there is instead a problem with the socket at the rear of the unit. Please ask them for advise on what to do. A Happy New Year! Regards, Charlie

Hello Charlie,
Just to let you know the problems that I have been having with the power supply/ H & C unit were down to the adaptor and not the unit itself.
I contacted the manufacturers as per your advice, they were absolutely outstanding, brilliant service, I ended up buying a new adaptor from them, more expensive than others I tried but the same good quality as the original, (not one of these lightweight jobs from China), the unit with its new adaptor has never sounded better.
Impressed or what - thanks Charlie.
Kind regards, Mel
