Here is another demo of the EF86 Amp Emulator that I am currently recording, this one is Quatermasster's Stores. www.dropbox.com/s/gxysfm8c0flhno9/Quatermassters%20Stores%20EF86%20Amp%20Emulator%20demo.mp3?dl=0I used the Strat replica loaded with a CS 56 NOS pickguard and fitted with NewTone Electric Masters pure nickel 12-56 strings with a wound G, played on the middle pickup. The sound is exactly what I recorded from the H & C using patch P08 and of course the new EF86 Amp Emulator unit, this time set to Channel 1 which is the emulation of circuit 2. I again compressed the lead guitar track to make it balance well with the backing track derived from the original with Hank removed. As will be the case with all of these demos (unless otherwise stated), no other effects were added. I hope you like it. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, I dislike the original (tune not the playing and sound) sins I heard it for the first time, to be honest... But I can hear your version is a carbon-copy! Very well played too Charlie tin hat in place Cheers Rob

Hi Istvan and Ove, Thank you! Glad you both like it.
Hi Rob, Thank you! Quatermasster's Stores is one of my favourite early Shadows tunes. It reminds me of Johnny And The Hurricanes who I also liked around that time. No problem for me that you don't like the tune because the aim is to see how close I can get to the original sound with just the echo and the new unit.
Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, Accurate sounds to my ears for Peace Pipe, Theme from a Filleted Plaice and Quatermass' sores Quatermasters Stores - impressive to say the least. I'm looking forward to hearing your demo through the normal channel of an AC30.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hi Chris, Thanks for your kind comments, glad you like it. I will have to arrange a get together with a friend who has several Vox amps and see if I can record some of it.
Hi Alan, I did email you the file last night in anticipation of you having the problem again. Please check to see if you received it.

Hi Charlie,
Wow, what a gent you are - anticipating my problem and providing the solution before my asking for it. I appreciate you, Charlie.
The file is just like a Shadows recording - the style, the sound, and the playing - distinctive, easily recognized, and makes me feel good. It is a very good cover of the tune.

Hi Alan, My pleasure, thank you. The file is a Shadows recording, with Hank removed! I appreciate that you are almost certainly concentrating on the sound of my playing though! Regards, Charlie
