Hi Hanky,
Best would be a EF86 channel, but this amp doesn't have this on board. The Top Boost is good for the later old hits of the shads. The time I had no amps with a EF86 is more then 23 years ago, but I used the normal channel of my AC30 for the first old hits.
Cheers Rob

Hi hanky, If you use the top boost channel, try setting the bass and treble controls to zero for the earlier tunes. If there is a cut control, then you might want to use that as well to warm up the high notes if they sound too piercing. You will get more bass from the normal channel. I believe I heard that Hank used the normal channel sometimes but I am not sure if that would have been the case on the earlier tunes. The top boost channel as set above will probably work better. Echo settings are simply the recommended ones for each tune. Set the rotary controls to 9 o'clock as a basic setting. You can experiment further with those later. Tremolo isn't used for most Shadows tunes so set the tremolo depth to minimum. Regards, Charlie

Cheers Charlie i will have a play its the AC15 CUSTOM HEAD , it doesn't have the old tubes but the EL84 tube, it doesn't sound far out to be honest, i mainly went for this because of the reactive attenuator so i can have it low for in the home playing lol. Hope your keeping well x
