Hi, The original power supply is 12 volts AC. It looks to me like the original power supply is still OK. If you accidentally powered it with DC it might be possible that something has blown. I suggest you contact supportAThallandcollins.com (replace AT with @) to see about having it looked at. Regards, Charlie

Hi, Ask support if they can diagnose the problem from your description of the problem and answers you may give to any questions they may ask you, and send parts for a local technician to fit. I don't know if this route will be successful or not but it could be worth trying. Regards, Charlie

If it was a MXR M238....errrr that one is a DC model and 6v 9v and to top it off 15v !!! A MXR M239 mini is only 9v DC . That could be a expensive move On this site a few dozen peeps have stated what they used successfully on their pedal-board...as far as I know just 3 power supplies are capable and save. Downside they cost quiet some pounds, at least half the prize of a new C&HSE, the best cost 3x a H&CSE!!! Just a quick surge,or a question.... on this site, could prevent a lot of trouble Cheers Rob

Charlie. I have just put a new battery in my Q2. I have a Hall and Collins As well, Do I assume that the H&C does not have a battery in?
Thanks Tuffty.

Regards Hans Hi Hans, There is not an internal battery for the Hall and Collins SE, do you have another 12 Volt AC output power supply unit you can try on it? Have you had this working before or is it a used one you purchased, a common error with AC powered units is to use a DC power Supply unit. Kind regards, Chris

Hi Hans, Chris has already said what I would have said. I will also suggest that you contact support support@hallandcollins.com if the power supply is found to be OK. Regards, Charlie

Kind regards, Chris The plug of the power supply was damaged and I tried a DC power supply. Doesn`t work. Hope that nothing in the unit is now damaged. What power supply (Brand .... ) do you use? It's not easy to find the right AC power supply on Amazone. Regards Hans

I think you will have got away with no damage. Try support to see if they have a suitable power supply. Otherwise, you need a power supply with an output of 12 volts AC 1 amp (or 500ma would work) with a 2.1 x 5.5mm plug. Regards, Charlie
