Can anyone who has one of these tell me are they a good buy and reliable . I have a Hall and Collins echo but wanted something else for a pedal board. Your comments would be gratefully received

Hi Kieth. I think the Yamaha Magic Stomp is a great piece of kit. They’re built like a tank and I think they are reliable. I haven’t used mine since the arrival of the HCSE. I believe the screen needed to be replaced on some models, but the screens are available I use my HCSE on a pedal board - although it is quite a heavy unit. Dave

Hi keith, The Magicstomp would suit your purpose of convenience if you get a good working one. They do tend to suffer from overheating though, and as Dave says, the screens can go on them. Regards, Charlie

Hi Keith,
I use a magic-stomp and never had trouble, I did drill holes in the casing to let the heat escape. George Lewis has a thread and pics to show where to drill, a lot of hot weather in Australia especially doing outdoor gigs. George pointed that out in his thread.
Regards, Garry.
