So sad.....Steve came to our Watford Shadows Club a couple of times, a perfect gentleman. I bought a Vox Mini 3 amp from him, top bloke.

I was enjoying a messenger chat with him on Sunday early afternoon. We were discussing guitars and other gear as I was about to buy his Burns Dream when he was coming to Devon and visiting Looe in Cornwall at the end of March. We’d been arranging things to coincide with his visit and all seemed fine during our ‘chat’ so I’m extremely shocked at this sudden and sad news. Such a great bloke and always happy to help anyone. He will be missed.

I'm really shocked by this bad news, I loved seeing his videos on YouTube and talked to him. Leaving so young and having a lot of projects in his head...

I was shocked this afternoon when I opened the ‘General’ page. We all know that the unexpected can and sometimes does happen, but this?! Surely we need some further confirmation before accepting this dreadful news as fact? If indeed this proves to be true then, of course, I join with the rest of you in mourning his departure from the community here at CH&Fs and offer my heart-felt condolences to his family.
His masterful execution of the numerous song files posted here were and continue to be admired and enjoyed by many, including myself. His helpful, selfless and enthusiastic contributions on these forums were a hallmark of the man. A true gent in every sense of the word.
There is no doubting that he will be greatly missed.

I held off posting in the hope that it would turn out to be fake news or a dreadful mistake but sadly it was not. Like everyone else I was utterly shocked.
I met Steve several times at Watford Shadows Club and I can only reiterate what others have said about him being such a nice guy. Two or three years ago I bought from him one of the Strats which featured in his excellent videos and that will be a reminder of him every time I pick it up.
You were taken far too soon, Steve. RIP.

Shocked to hear this news. I always watched his videos on youtube and told Steve it was great to see a relative youngster playing sixties tunes and Shadows stuff.

Don't know if it's the right time but It would a idea if we gave a bit of thought to
how we could come up with something from the forum to remember Steve
either a donation to his family or a charity etc.etc. !! I feel sure Charlie and
other members can some time in the future contact a member of the family
or something to find out what might be appropriate etc.

Steve was a huge member of The Shadows "family". I never met him in person but I felt I knew him. He was one of us. Thanks Steve for all your sound file and YTube postings you have left us all a great legacy to follow and enjoy. RIP

Like everybody else I am shocked and in total disbelief. Since I became a member of this forum I have learned so much from Steve by watching his YouTube videos and by exchanging PM`s on many occasions. Steve was always more than willing to help, he was a gentleman and a great musician. My thoughts and prayers are with Steve`s family. RIP Steve you will be missed by all of us.

Having not been on this site for a few days I was totally shocked to see what has happened.
Have tried to get the wonderful sounds he used to get ( but I never seemed to achieve it )
