Just like all of you I was shocked and saddened to hear the news about Steve. He was an inspiration to many of us including myself. I learned so much from watching his YouTube videos. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I think it was his sister in law who posted this late on Sunday evening on her FaceBook page: So it seems that even his family do not know the cause yet

Like most of us I am struggling to accept this terrible news. Only spoke to Steve via YouTube a short while ago. Lovely talented guy who was always so helpful. He will be sadly missed by all Shadows fans who knew him. My condolences to his Family.

Steve was set up there and he was treated appallingly. I wouldn't have posted that Sheendigs, most of us have seen it and it's an insult to the memory of a nice lad.

Hi Stu It was just for the remembrance of him..as I did not know that he had gone on BGT. For those like me, it was a good remembrance. If Charlie finds it insulting - he can remove what I linked. Sheendigs

I was disgusted with how that program portrayed Steve. Cowell should be ashamed of himself as Steve had more talent in his little finger than most of the contestants on that show.

I think Steve Knew he was going to be used as a stocking filler before he started playing, but at least he showcased himself. I know several people who have managed to get through to the last stages, and it is a complete set up. EG. 3 people left, and the day before only 2 being measured up by the wardrobe dept! Needless to say,the one who isn't measured up doesn't get through.

Steve spoke at some length regarding his BGT appearance on one of his lockdown live streams. It wasn't a great experience from what he described, but to Steve's eternal credit he didn't complain, or criticise any of the panel (who behaved terribly in my view, particularly the two women who pretended to talk about their lunch). Always the gentleman, Steve displayed great dignity when recounting the day and showed what a class act he was.
Such a tragic loss.

Steve was an active member of The Friends of The Shadows Guitar Club Southend and the club is organising a Remembrance Book. Here are the details -
Dear Members We have decided to compile a loving Remembrance Book, full of happy memories about our absent friend, Steve Reynolds RIP. As you all know, he was a young man with discipline and determination who created a packed YouTube channel, full of wonderful guitar instrumentals. He also consistently impressed us with his playing at our meetings. He was a very talented musician, a good friend and an enthusiastic club participant, before his untimely passing away. It was Colleen Prior who suggested that we should invite you to send us your reminiscences of Steve. Thank you, Colleen for this excellent idea. Please send your responses to her by email. Colleen's address is cpwitchypoo@hotmail.com They could be of any length, although we may have to edit them to ensure that we have a 360-degree view and nicely balanced impression of the man he was. We aim to prepare the book and to give it to Steve’s family soon. It may provide a small measure of comfort to them at this sad time. If you want your recollections to be in the book, please send them to Colleen within two weeks of the date of this post. Thanks

Copied from elsewhere. After a long 5 months, Steven will be laid to rest on Thursday 17th June 2021. Steven’s funeral will be going from our parents' house in Romford and we ask that if you wish to pay your respects, due to covid, that you do so as he leaves mum’s house. Our family will be having a service at Upminster cemetery where our dad is resting. We are limited on numbers for the service but if you wish to pay respects at his graveside, please can you message myself or Victoria Reynolds so we can keep a track on numbers. Steven was well loved and we know a lot of people have waited for this news. There will be a donation link soon in place of flowers, but if you wish to send flowers, please message myself or Victoria for the address. For those who wish to watch via a zoom link, please message us and we will get this forwarded to you. This is for the graveside part of the service and we ask that you keep the link to yourselves out of respect for Steven. If someone asks you for the link, please point them in our direction and we can help them with that. Thanks for understanding. Just Giving Page

Anyone know what his cause of death was being so young? I’m supposed to go for a brain scan for an aneurysm, my aunt in her mid 60s just had surgery for one apparently it’s hereditary her brother died from a stroke and her sister had a stroke too but survived, but had a paralysed for the rest of her life Matthew

They were disgraceful on BGT taking the P115 ok he could have chose a better song but they shouldn’t have been so rude, I wouldn’t have recovered from that Matthew

The song he chose to perform IIRC was as a tribute to his Dad not particularly perhaps to please the 'baying' wolves of the jury. Now, finally, he Will be able to dance with his Fwther again. Lovely man, superb musician. Ian

Scanners,
In a statement from his sister, she said that after a wait of five months the news was that Steve had died from a blockage in the main artery leading to acute cardiac failure. Very, very sad indeed. God bless you Steve. We will all remember you.
