Hi Charlie. Hope it's OK to post here as not 100% related to the HCSE.
With my HCSE needing to be looked at I dug out my old Magic Stomp. It's so long since I've used it that I really don't remember too much about it.
I know it used be set up with your EFTP, however, there's no trace of them now. However, the factory settings P01- P100 are intact . Also having upgraded to a Mac M1 computer, the accompanying CD with drivers etc is no longer recognised by my computer.
Is there a way for me to re program my MS without my computer?
As always, all help gratefully received.
PS. I have emailed Derek for his advice re the HCSE "White Noise"

Hi Dave, The Magicstomp can be programmed manually, but I have never had a written list of settings, so re-programming by computer is the only way. I have to wonder how the patches have been lost though, unless it has been through some kind of reset procedure. Regards, Charlie

"I have to wonder how the patches have been lost though."
Yes, a mystery to me too. I bought the HCSE in June 2015 and the Magic Stomp has been in it's box and stored - unused - since then.
U0 1 EMTC
P0 1 Heavy Gain
DOH!!! I've just had another look at the MS and the paperwork from EFTP and realise that EM = Echomatic!! DOH (Again) So I do in fact have the patches. Great, so this will keep me going until I can get my HCSE sorted. Thanks again Charlie. Dave

Hi Charlie. I contacted Derek and long story short - am sending the PC Board from the HCSE to it to be modified. Derek has been amazing. Quick response to my emails and he could not be more helpful. Many than ks! Dave

My upgraded HCSE PC Board arrived today. I was able to reassemble the unit, and much to my surprise it works!! In fact it sounds better than ever!
I have a question for you Charlie. I know the recommended power supply is 12V AC with a maximum of 1000A. However, I have a Yankee power supply that can supply all my pedals. 9V DC 12V DC 12V AC and 18V DC. The 12V AC is listed as 300A. I have used this for three years or more so that I only have one plug to plug into the wall socket. I believe you have recommended a minimum of 500A, but do you see a problem running the HCSE on 12V AC 300A? As I mentioned it has worked for over three years, but could there be any long term damage?
Thanks in advance. Dave

Hi Dave, In my opinion 300ma is borderline. John Collins measured the continuous current at around 300ma, although I can't remember the exact figure. The HCSE should not suffer from this though, but the power supply might. Regards, Charlie
