Hi all,
I’m about to pickup a Boss Katana 50w mark 2 amp second hand. Will be using it for general pop/rock/blues/country/jazz etc as well as Shads.
I was wondering if anyone had any settings/patchings for a clean Vox AC30/Matchless DC30/Fender Twin Reverb to program into the Katana?
Cheers,
Richard

Hi
The online Boss Tone Studio will let you create just about any sound you want but for a good generic clean AC30 type here's a very simple one you can do just by turning the knobs on the amp itself:
Amp type: clean Gain: 50% Channel Volume: 50% Bass: off Middle: 50% Treble: off Effects: off (assuming you'll be using a separate delay unit) Master vol: to taste
So, it's dead simple but you can use it as a basis for experiment, e.g. the sound can be tweaked by using the GE10 equalizer in Tone Studio.
HTH.

Thanks. Yes will be using my pedalboard infront of it so a generic clean AC30 type simulation is what am after.
Many thanks!

The Mk II Katana has an interesting arrangement of jack sockets on the back. It has an input labelled Power Amp In, it's actually the return socket of an effects loop. So if you have an echo unit with built in pre-amp, or a Joyo Actone, go straight into there and the only control on the amp that you need is the volume.
