Garry,
The "screen" on the MagicStomp is actually a daughter-board comprising the screen and a couple of logic chips: this had the designation 162. The 162 is now obsolete and probably unobtainable. It has been replaced by the 1602, which will require the addition of a resistor to Pin3 (contrast) and will probably require a bit of surgery to the casing aperture.
I've sent you a PM.
DaveC.

Hi, I found a replacement screen for my Magicstomp at Jaycar, they are in Australia but not sure of UK and other parts of the world. The screen had no modification to install, had a technician do the work. Display LCD Backlit 2x16CHAR WHT BLU SIL QP5521 Cost of the screen $19.95 aud, working again.
Regards, Garry.

Hello...I have the eftp for zoom g3xn ...if you need . I thought these EFTP patches were not transferable from one owner to another?

Charlie, I might have this wrong. However, as far as I know, the EFTP patches for the Zoom G3X G3 and G5 are not transferable. The Zoom G3XN is a different machine and not subject to these rules as EFTP patches have not been written for it.
It may well be that someone has written patches for the G3XN However, they are not EFTP patches.
Cheers, Alan.

Hi Alan, I know. The N version is a very different unit. But EFTP was offered, which is unacceptable. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, is it reasonable to assume that the term "EFTP" is being used in a generic sense?
Cheers, Alan.

Hi Alan, I think not in this case. I have correspondences and information that you are not privy to. Also there is a certain person that could be upset if I were seen to not act on this. Regards, Charlie
