I'm writing this on my father's account for simplicity.
As my Dad was a member of this community I wanted to let you all know that he passed away in the early afternoon of New Year's eve. No funeral arrangements will be announced as this is what my father wanted.
I would like to keep things as private as possible while we grieve. Your understanding would be appreciated.

My deepest condolences to you and the family, this is terrible news.
I first met your father over twenty years ago when I purchased one of his vintage units for my ac30. He was a lovely man and a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed by the Shadows community 😔
Regards
Scott

Having spent some time with Roger I found him to be a total gentleman who has left a wonderful legacy amongst the Shadows music family and beyond.
RIP Roger you will be sadly missed.

I wish to belatedly add my condolences to Roger's family and friends on his passing. It was my privilege to get his Vintage Unit and Top Boost add-on, which were soldered into my old ('63, i think) AC-30/6(N) many years ago. The Vintage Unit transformed this Amp totally - and caused me to seek out (and find) a reliable answer to the 'over-stressed' EF-86 (in the form of the Philips E80F SQ .. a 10,000 hour valve). The quality of Roger's work was masterful (the term 'high reliability soldering' doesn't come close) - a meticulous work of art. I always meant to ask him about the component values he chose for the various switch settings WRT the sounds he was aiming to emulate. A bit late now - but I think I've largely nutted it out. Regardless, a triumph of tonal beauty by any definition!
So, my regrets at his passing; and my compliments to all here.
A grateful Dick Busser.
