Hi Gino, if you have the cd that comes with the unit put that on your computer, also go to the yamaha web site and down load the sound editor, then you need Charlies patches, I suppose you could make your own up or the jpatches are available but believe me pay the £25.00 it's more than worth it. Charlie will tell you the rest. Regards Phil

I`ve used three types of Shadows echo patches and Charlie`s are the best. They`re worth more than the £25 asking price but he dropped the price for a reason, luckily for me. As Charlie says, if you don`t want to pay go to the Echotapper site and download their information.

Hi Gino,
I also have a Magicstomp. I used the free Echotapper patches for a short while before buying Charlie's EFTP patches. The Echotapper patches were quite good, but Charlie's patches were way better, and were well worth the investment of 25 pounds.
Regards,
James

Hi Gino, If you send Charlie an e-mail or personal message he will tell you how to pay for the patches. He will then send you the patches and all the instructions for loading them. I am sure Charlie will also respond to your request.
All the best,
Robert

I am using an RFX2200 with EFTP patches and love the sound that it creates. Still I would be interested to find out if the string sizes used and/or the number of vibrator strings in the Fender guitars have some influence on the quality of the final sound. In particular what size strings, etc. Hank Marvin (typically) use on his guitars? I hope that some of the informed members or especially Charlie Hall may know the answer to this question.
Regard
Zoltan

Hi Zoltan, The gauge of strings and the strength and number of tremolo springs do make a difference. As far as I know, Hank did, and probably still does use DR 10s, DR 11s, and D'Addario 12s, on 3 different Custom Shop Strats when playing live. In the studio, anything could happen. Regards, Charlie

It looks as if the jpatches are gone from many places in the internet where they could be downloaded in the past... There are still available at the magicstompro yahoo-user-group along with the editor-software and the firmware-updates! groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/magicstomppro/filesDavid

Hi Charlie, It's been a while since our last chat.. I have your Signature Echo and can't be more pleased with it!!! Previously I used eftp Alexis Q20. Again a stunning piece of equipment. I am currently using a Fender Mustang GT100 amp. Can you give me any help in finding the best Hank Mavin sound on it?. Which built in GT100 amp / effect would you recommend? Of course, the echo I use will be the Signature Echo. Hoping you can help Thanks very much Rob

Hi Rob, I can only guess a suggested amp model as I haven't heard or tried your amp model as yet. Try the '60s British amp model and set the middle control fairly high and the treble very low or even all the way down. Less bass for older Shadows tunes Except for Apache and Quatermasster's Stores. Regards, Charlie
