Hi All, I've decided to have another go at this one. I used to play it with a little sharper tone. I have now taken some of the treble off. I think it sounds better. What do you think? All comments good, bad, other greatly appreciated. www.4shared.com/audio/CkriDx5Y/FMAGS1.htmlKind regards Roger

Hi Roger, I think the tone is about right, I don't think you could get much closer. Very good sound and well played. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie,
Thanks for listening and your kind comments, much appreciated.
Sometimes, I think when your listening to yourself, you hear tones and volumes a little different to other people thats listening. It's good to get confirmation.
Thanks again.

Hi Roger, That's certainly right, especially if you don't have a rest period before listening to it again. Regards, Charlie

Thats stunning Roger. Top playing my friend. I have always loved this tune and its not as easy as some think it is to play. Like already said, very close to the original. Top marks for an excellent recording.

Hi David, Jeremy, and Tony,
Many thanks for listening and all your very kind comments. I messed about with the tone and sound before recording this one, and I was a little unsure. Glad I seemed to get it right and you enjoyed it.
Thanks again.
Kind regards Roger

Hi Claude,
Thanks for your kind comments and for listening.
Setup:
1979 US Strat (original pickups, what ever they are?). Middle pickup with tone control (lower one) set to about 5½. Strings: 10-46's (D'Addario).
Yamaha MagicStomp with Charlie's patch #U13
Amplifier: Roland Cube 30X: Set to 'Black Panel' (I think this simulates the old fender amplifiers). Settings: Bass 50% Middle 90% Treble 75%.
Recorder: BOSS MICRO BR.
Kind regards Roger
