hello together
I am in search for the tremolo arm of Hank Marvin of the so-called easy mute tremolo arm for a fender Mexico Strat. far as I know has my Fender, the smallest thread for the tremolo arm. So I have searched quite thin on Google and the well known auction site, but I have unfortunately found nothing.
Can someone help me there?
Thank you
Greetings from Germany
Robin

G'day Robin, Yes, for a MIM Strat' you need the metric threaded arm. I purchased mine direct from the manufacturer www.easymute.freeserve.co.ukTheir email: vml <AT> easymute <DOT> freeserve <DOT> co <DOT> uk Excellent service. Vey helpful when you send for info. Quick delivery (even to Downunder). Regards, Dave.

Hi Robin, I bought a Strat which already had a gold authentic easy mute trem arm fitted and for the life of me I am unable to grasp the advantage of having one. Just an observation, Regards Tony

While I realise that EasyMute has a few more features than just effectively 'relocating' the bend in the tremolo arm, I couldn't justify the cost of getting one out to Oz.....so I bought an inexpensive replacement arm, and bent it......works fine for me ;D What it achieved in my case was to get the arm out of the way nicely for palm muting, and place the 'handle' end in a better position (at least for me!) to control it while picking....your mileage may vary, but I'm quite pleased with the modification and about a year on, would not go back to the 'stock' arm. This is on a Roland-Ready Strat with a vintage bridge, BTW....if that is any way significant to anyone....

I think that the situation of the volume knob is the biggest hazard when muting. Tend to move vol down/up whilst muting. Pity it's situated where it is really?

Hi Clive. An easy fix is blue-tac under the volume knob. Some may disapprove but I use this method now and is far better than finding you have lost half your volume I think that the situation of the volume knob is the biggest hazard when muting.
