Got my memory jogged last night about "rumours" that at one time (1961/2 ?) The Shads were said to be using Fender amps in Vox cabs on stage.......
Anybody know anything about this ?
Cheers
Dick

One version of the Fender Tremolux amp had EL84 valves. I had heard that Dick Denney copied the phase inverter circuit into some Vox amps as an experiment, and possibly, or even likely, it was used in some of the Shadows' Vox amps. I don't think it was ever used in production Vox amps. This may be the reason for the talk of Fender amps in Vox cabinets. Regards, Charlie
