Hi Hubert
Thats a pretty good version and played very well. I can't see much more room for improvement as its so very close to the original. May be a tad more definition on the guitar because it sounded a tiny bit too mellow.
Excellent tune

Hi Peter, thank You for Your kind words, indeed the sound is to mellow, it could use some more treble, or presence, but i'm not a fan of presence, on my amps i never use it. I rolled of the volume on the guitar a little bit to avoid harsness, but it was after all not necesery. I become more respect for Hank, that he can play such a tune, (and all the rest he playes) without making mistakes, but again, thanks for listening, Best regards, Hubert

Hi Hubert, Well played and a good sound, although a little too warm on the lower notes. You are right that presence should be avoided for this kind of sound. It is better to turn the guitar volume to 10 and if the sound is then too bright, try a longer guitar cable, maybe around 5 metres or longer if necessary. This should keep the brightness of the lower notes and help to warm up the higher notes. These hints are more suited to recording than for live playing. Regards, Charlie

Hi Hubert
Listen to Hank's recording again because its a good example of the DeMarzio FS-1 bridge pickup which is what he used for that song. I think the music Hank played in that era was some of his nicest [modern] sounds and it was down to the FS-1.
Regards
Peter

Hello Charlie and Peter, Charlie, the next time i will follow Your advice, but when i recorded "Going home", the same evening i recorded "Sleepwalk", and the tone is much better because i had the guitar volume more open, i will post it, so You can compare. Hello Peter, i don't know if it is just the pickup, its trough that Hank has a great tone at that period, and the FS-1 has absolutely contributed to it, but i have heard a lot of players on this site, that have allso a great tone, and have differend brands pickups, Now i would place a smily, but i can't find one , Thanks Charlie and Peter for all Your advice, regards Hubert.
