Hi Barry
It's a Vox........................................Good It looks great...................................Good It goes loud.....................................Good It's got valves..................................Good
It's got lots of surface mount pcb stuff with a load of non vintage construction techniques..................Not so good Every body seems to change the standard speaker for something better, usually cele V30....................Not so good There have been issues with the power supply & mains fuses that need watching...............................Not so good I didn't like the one I had & decided it was to much work to make it sound like an "original"...................Not so good
Amanda (Valve whiz) knows how to make it sound just like an original AC 15 complete with EF86 valve & getting rid of digi stuff...............................................Good
Depends on the asking price I suppose, but budget for spending some money on it & you should be ok.
Hope this helps.
Dick.

Thanks Dick, they're asking £285 and the amp is roughly 3 years old.

Hi barry thats not a bad price if amanda can do the upgrades on the other hand the heritage is alot better i have the heritage now and the tones are excellent and i have also had a ac15 cc1x and i have to say the fuses used to go on my cc1x all the time and that was just to power the thing up a real pain out the two amps the heritage does it for me all the time although i have not heard an ac15 with amandas upgrades if you could get the amp for the £250 mark then i would go for it as i bought mine new of the well known auction site for £330 hope this has helped
cheers gary
