Hello everybody, since I,ve being a member for a long time, this is the first time to post a message. in , maybe very bad English. I'm from Holland, and my name is Huub Dijckmanns, 58 years old, and playing guitar since I was 12 years old. I have a PRS custom 22, A "Martens"stratocaster with Kinman pickups, wich I will be change for Toneriders! A "Martens" tele, and a Koch multitone 50 watt combo, wich I be selling on "Marktplaats", and a Q20 with Charlie's EFTP. Yesterday arrived my new Vox AC30H2, and I had not the time for trying, because I am living in a appartment were it is impossible to play. I have to wait 'till the weekend, and I'm very curious! I wanted to say that I like this site verry much,( but I have to learn a lot on how to use it) and thanks to Charlie, who's allways helping me when I have a question. BTW, are there guitarplayers here that allso have a AC30 heritage, and do you like it? and do I need to change the valves? Thanks, Hubert.

Hello Hubert,
Good to see your first post on the board. Also good to read you're changing the Kinmans for Toneriders, it seems to be a popular move.
Excuse my ignorance, what are the "Martens" guitars? Do you have any photographs to show us?
I'm someone with an AC30 Heritage will be along soon to share their views on the amp.
Cheers Barry

Hello Barry, Mr Martens is a Polnish guy who lives ( or lived) in Holland, and building guitars together with Arie de Vocht, a wellknown guitar-repairman here in the neighbourhood, the same guy were I go to when somethings wrong with my guitar. sadly they dont work together anymore, cause the guitars are very good, and sound very good. I have allso a Tele from him, a wonderful guitar. The "strat"was originaly with a wilkinson trem with two studs, but I replaced it with a callaham, not very well done,i admit, but it works! It has an alder body with birdseye maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard, it is the guitar that I use the most. I have to figure out on how to post pictures on this site, so You can see it. Recently I bought a body (swamp ash, one peace, fiƫsta red,) and a neck ( birdseye maple, allso fingerboard, from warmoth, and will put it together the next months, and if the neck and body not fighting together (soundwise!), than will that my main guitar. On that one comes a wilkinson vsvg trem. This will then the guitar for the music from Hank, and maybe I will lock the trem from my Martens, and transform him to be a sort of "rock-guitar, I don't know yet, greetings Hubert.

Thanks Hubert,
The Martens name wasn't one I'd heard of before but I guess there are many small, excellent makers out there.
Cheers Barry
