To apply for membership please do the following:
Step 1: Apply for membership - you will need a username and a password of your choosing and a valid email address (which can be hidden at any time) and your date of birth and gender (also both can remain hidden). You will also be required to validate your application with a security code, accept ProBoards terms and conditions and click SUBMIT.
If during the registration process an advert appears with no obvious way to decline the offer i.e. there is no 'check box', do not click on the 'Finish registration' button but instead click on the 'home' button near the top of the screen.
Step 2: At this point you could attempt to log-in but will not be able to complete the process until you receive an email informing you of your activation code which allows manual insertion on ONLY the first log-in or click on the link provided in that same email which will complete this task for you. This is important as it confirms your email address and if you don't do this you cannot be contacted and can never become a member.
Check your email for an activation mail and this will contain a link and a code. Click on the link to activate your membership otherwise you will not be able to complete a log-in or post any new threads or posts or replies. If the link does for some reason not work, then copy the code from your email and go to log-in and along with your username and password, paste the code and then you are registered as a member.
Under normal circumstances you will only be required to authenticate your log-in by the use of a security code once. This process adds a cookie (a harmless but necessary file) to your PC and if your system blocks cookies you will find it very difficult to remain logged in and could cause you to keep authenticating your account.
Step 3: All applications should be automatically accepted.
If your application is accepted you can then log-in and participate.
Once the process has been completed you are free to log-in (it is suggested that you choose the "Forever" option during log-in to save you ever having to enter your log in details again) and post messages.
